Had various firearms my whole life, mainly hunting not much target shooting.  Never was a big fan of the AR models. Now for some reason I am super stoked to be getting my first one (PSA G3 .308).  It should be here in a few days. Now I start to contemplate all the incremental stuff I’m going to flush my cash on....bipod, optics maybe a hydro wrap or vinyl skin.  So many decisions, so little time...glad to be here. Will be researching the forum for info.

I was in the same boat, then I secummed to the hyp, bought a DPMS LA308 and took it apart and examined it part by part and function by function, still learning from these guys.

Yeah. I see a lot of mixed reviews on PSA. I have a friend with one and he has had good luck with it.  I’ve called their hq and stores during my search. Everyone has been very helpful.  A bit of a challenge getting through on the phone with them.  Gotta be persistent.

I have a rifle from them and built a 12" 308 pistol with their upper and lower.

The carbine stocked lowers w/the wrong buffer and spring seem to be the main problem.

My rifle all I did was replace the gas tube, install a Balastic Advantage barrel, and a LaRue MBT-2 trigger. None of that was needed to make the gun go boom.
