That is a smart alteration as long as it is functional and sturdy.

Smart, when you consider the price of a stripped lower, plus the price of a LAW Tactical Gen 3 folding adapter - this is WAY cheaper like this.  At $299, it looks like sticker-shock, but the LAW Gen 3 retails tor $270...  

HOWEVER - looks like you're stuck with their buffer, and their buffer only...   Hope the weight is right for what you need, or you'll need to rip it apart and add some tungsten weights to it....

Pretty cool. Only down side is if something goes wrong with the folder, the whole lower is junk.

You're thinking like I am.  I like.  

This is why we Don't Complicate Shiit With Complicated Shiit. 

I'd need to handle one of these things, and fold it, unfold it - try it out.  How does it fold smoothly, with that extension on the front of the actual buffer?  Questions like that have me curious enough to want to buy one - or see a video on it already...

I had a law folder and had nothing but small issues finally pedaled it off to a friend who wanted it I like Uncomplicated $hit!

simplicity, that is why I like A2 stocks and not even a collapsible/carbine style.....same thing every time.  and it works

I just put a Sylvan Arms folding gizmo on one of the pistols. I haven't tested it on the range yet. It does lock up solid. Was easy to install.

I've almost gone after the Sylvan several times, and just never done it.  Primary Arms has a good sale on them 3 or 4 times a year, and that's what almost gets me everytime.

Watch Primary Arms, @edgecrusher - they blow it out often. 

They list it for $150, and just had a blowout for less, now they're out of stock.

It's an almost identical system to the LAW version - there's a steel plate that slides into place against the buffer, when it's open. Locks the BCG and buffer in place. You could shoot it once, folded, and probably be just fine.  If you make it a habit, something is gonna come apart, and it wouldn't be pretty.

I finally found time to run a few mags through the Grendel pistol. Folding gizmo works just fine. Ran 100 rnds through it. New bolt is good too. Still waiting on extractors from Alexander Arms.
