300 Win Mag

Guess I should start a thread on this rifle.

Bererga B-14 HMR in 300 Win Mag.

Built in chassis in the stock.

It takes Remington 700 pattern parts.

Witt machine muzzle brake. It does a pretty good job.

Arken scope 6-25X50 FFP 34mm.

Almost sighted in.

Top pic. 96yds aiming at the 7 . Using a sleeping bag for a rest of the hood of my jeep.

Second pic. Cold bore shot was low.

Aiming at the red dot. Moved the cross hairs after the group.

Still a touch high but getting there.

That a great gun, enough cartridge, and enough glass to get it done.  It's a contender!  Just go up there 10 rounds at a time, and get after it.  It's different, as you know, at that distance.  Running those heavies is the only way.  Lighter projectiles will never get there.  I can't wait to see it hit that damn plate!

Unlike the ever elusive  road runner I not only look forward to seeing the rifle,I'll actually get to see the rifle.

I look forward to checking out the Arken scope and looking down range. Looking through a scope at the store isn't the same.

Brought my 300 Mag to the range last week and.....forgot the ammo! Had three rounds in the gun case pocket so I took it over to the 185 yard range. First two shots were beautiful, flinched on the third. Look closely, Two of them share the same hole.

Al, give me a call sometime and we can figure out a day to take her to the Boulder Junction range and stretch her out to 300 yards.  Weekday afternoons aren't usually busy so we could probably drive out the the target backstop.  (No way I'm walking that far,   )
