shepp Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 It was 50* today I shoulda grilled but I had been planing this and the gator had been in the freezer awhile and I wanted to get it usedalligator gumbo, with fresh shrimp and crab along with some andoullio sausage I picked up from a local smoke house. Did it all from scratch, sounded a lot harder than it was, turned out amazing.

Gumbo turned out awesome something kinda gross tho. last night when I was making rice for my I found a moth in the rice picked it out ok what ever.........go to make some more tonight saw something funny started sifting thru it..........full of grubsinsert pukey emoji here

DNP Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 9lb bone in. 13.5hours set @ 225 (which meant 225-275 traeger temp) Pecan Pellets. 7 hours of Oak Ridge "game changer" brine...need to do 12 or more next time as recommended. Rubbed with a 4:1 mix of Oak Ridge "secret weapon" and "dominator sweet rib". Tasty. Got a little bit of ring to it-the brine definitely helps in that area.
