seasprite Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Lets see last night it was BBQ rib stakes with baked potato and a corn with cream cheese and butter along with a salad. Hit 80* yesterday so had fire up the grill. Now there calling for snow gota love KCMO.

This is mostly a German community so here they are all about the sausage, we take our deer meat every year all but the steaks and backstraps and make dry suasage, jerky, and summer sausage the last batch of summer sausage for 3 of us was 275lbs, I know alot of people that hog hunt and work on alot of hunters atv's and utv's but have not been able to go yet. My wife wants to go REAL bad, I am trying to find someone thats not too nuts for her to go with, I know 2 guys that run them out with dogs and if they get close enough with the ranger the one that's not driving dives out and tackles the hog then kills it with his knife! Some of the guy's around here still cook them whole in the ground but have not been able to experience that yet either. Boy do we have the BBQ, people here swear that the cancer rate is high because we consume so much charred flesh!

He said its way to much fun and addicting it's about all he wanted to do. He didn't like eating them much though.
