Instead of banning, or temporarily limiting posting access, Mods and Admins can hit someone with a warning. It's a 3-stikes kind of thing - 3 warnings and you're gone. It's been part of the Invision software since 2005. NOBODY can see your individual warning level, but you + all Mods and Admins. Members can't see someone else's warning level. It doesn't even appear, when viewing someone's profile, as a member-to-member view.
