pokey Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 How does Armalite compare to other companies that build .308 AR style rifles? I don't see many post on the good and bad of different rifles and companies. For somebody looking at .308 AR's it's confusing. What is the pro's and cons of the Armalite AR10 series.
DNP Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 I don't have personal experience with one, so I will state that right up front. What I can say, is I have never heard a bad word about them. Solid, beefy parts, and seem extremely well liked by those who do own one. On the plus side, you get to call it an AR-10 without harassment. Those guys will be around to help shortly. The Armalite pushers on this site tend to be heavy drinkers and like to sleep in. It's about 3PM back east right now, so old man Rsquared should be getting up soon.

Sisco Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Ar10 users are like the people who go to KFC...we don't get up before noon. I have two, never had a problem. Accurate as all get out. Good customer service. A wide product line. Better than a DPMS or Knights Armament or Rock River? Depends who you ask. If you want a rifle that is pretty complete to start with, and really doesn't need much added to make it a good all around black rifle, Armalite is excellent.

jtallen83 Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 I have a basic AR-10 flat top, it makes me look like a good shot. If I do my part it is easily a 1 MOA rifle. ArmaLite started the R&D that made the 308 AR platform viable for the civilian market, I think they have been a touch ahead of the rest. They tend not to delve into trendy mods but stick with solid proven parts. You can't go wrong!

Magwa Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 It is like all rifles good and bad they "armalite are very well built but untill recently you could not use a Pmag to me that was a dumb market blunder but now corrected, some say they are better than this or that, I say you will find problems with them all even POF or anyone elses high priced gun for the money they are a excellent value and a well established company.... does it mean that you buy one and it is flawless... NO none of them are that way...

You might wanna start heading to the ER now, with 9 and 1 already punched into your phone. Keep a cold compress on your forehead, and make sure to tell the doctor just exactly when you started having these mental disorders. I'll look past the infraction this time, because of the aforementioned obvious affliction.
