I got run off the high road for hitting some of the board's regulars with allot of those same points. The way they put it was funny but the points are much more then a laughing matter.

 

 BTW. I LOVE his point about getting an old surplus rifle. Allot of people apparently forgot that those old bolt actions shared the battlefield with machine guns and still held their own. I hold very strongly that; assuming you have access to ammo for it or convert it to .308, the Lee Enfield No.4 is still one of the most usable and versatile rifles on earth.

LMBO. That one was actually funny.

 

 My only long-range claim to fame is pistol shooting at 300 yards with iron sights.

 

 We DO have a 1000 yard range around here. In fact, it's where they hold the 1000 yard iron sight Olympic championships. Back when I had an Enfield No.4 I thought about trying it at that range just for fun but never got around to it.
