  1. All of that should be in this section .308 AR Technical
  2. Oh nooooo , mister Bill !
  3. Its my business to protect myself , not theirs . Do they think that sign will keep criminals from robing the store with a firearm ? Yes , if you see a sign on the business , go some where else , if you can .
  4. With a potential Tropical storm off our coast , plans are all on hold . It looks like it will stay off the coast far enough & I'm personally sending it to DC <thumbsup> , so we should just get high waves , wind & rain .
  5. Sturdy looking bipod .
  6. I ordered one of these Plano cases , been looking at them for a while & finally dropped the hammer . This is the most I've ever spent on a hard case . Does this mean I'm not cheap any more ? <dontknow> PN42TRC 42 Plano Gun Guard AW Hard Tactical Rifle Case $56.95 Ea With this hard sided gun case by Plano Molding Company, you get the tough reliable quality of Plano and these additional great features in a hard sided tactical rifle case. 7. That's pretty quick ! Barrel needs must be slowing down a bit, that could only be a good thing .
  8. Screw Google & Face Book , both suck as far as who the owners are & who they support .
  9. Wow !
  10. I'll bet that felt good .
  11. Very good scope , ammo , trigger & what is really important is you the shooter , needs to put it all together.
  12. Its always been shot placement , this has been a known fact for as long as the argument of stopping power has been around . I still carrie a 45 with 45 acp hard ball ammo . That one comment of the round not penetrating a Levi jacket , made me laugh .
  13. Damn Tom , didn't you hear that the war on Terrorism is over , the King said so , we don't need troops any where ,any more .This will come back to haunt us & more so, the Philippine people.
  14. I'm cheap , I use GunGuard cases mostly . I have double rifle cases for the 308AR's with scopes ,saves from pulling them apart to load in a std single rifle case .
  15. Ya , I was wondering about that after posting it & think its a comparison of the wrong rifle, anyway. AS far as comparing buffer systems , that all work , some you may get a higher round count out of the spring , doesn't meant they won't work. I agree , if he's building a SR-25 from the ground up , use the right parts . I would wait for the barrel you want or have one made the way you want . You went as far as paying big $$ for the receiver set , why settle for anything but what you want .
  16. The SR -25 uses a different spring & buffer than the AR 10 , here's a comparison.
  17. Well you might as well carrie an extra rifle with you , just in case. <dontknow>
  18. There is nothing wrong , IMO , with the STD DPMS buffer system , there has to be a tens of thousands of them out there working just fine, I have two builds with DPMS components . Sure you can say this or that works better & some may clear up function problems , but there also may be more to it than just changing components. I see no scientific data on how the AR 10 buffer system is the best , except some saying it is what you need for your rifle to work . We need to be careful on what some think is std for an 308 AR system to work properly .I have seen plenty of rifles that come in with this or that thats supposed to be the $hit & find that replacing said superior parts with STD operating parts , that they all of a sudden work flawlessly. Not saying different parts won't work or are not better , but sometimes it is better to start out with components that were R&D'ed to work in that system & go from there. If I'm making & selling something , I will be inclined to say my stuff is better than someone else's & it may be , but not for every system & may not be even needed. Seems a lot of people are looking for the softest feeling 308 AR they can put together . The problem there is you may end up causing function problems that would not be there if you would have just kept to the OEM parts. Its a freeking 308 & its going to have some recoil impulse.
  19. Hope it works out for you . I was also promised a better position where I last worked & they said pretty much the same thing , but I showed them , I retired . <lmao>
  20. If Cant is a problem , use a rail mounted or scope mounted bubble level .
  21. Interesting , but that was probably his intension , posting the photo. <thumbsup>
  22. The one in the middle is out of uniform , no nylons ! <laughs>
  23. Wow , now that's a dedicated review.
  24. Ok , what are they for ? Again . Is this a secret ? They don't appear to be for an AR , at least anything I have seen . Unless ,maybe some kind of piston set up ?
