  1. I used an 18 inch rifle gas Criterion barrel on the Fulton build, I have been very impressed with fit and finish as well as the accuracy, got a 3/4 inch 5 shot group out of it inside the first 60 rounds. That's as good as I can shoot so bet it can do better in the right hands.
  2. It might be relavent but the force required to seat the bullet was measured, not the neck tension and that is what counts.
  3. Maybe this Football thread should be moved to politics now, they seem to think they are relevant there these days.
  4. Her pistol but I paid so that gives me certain privileges, like shooting the schit out of it when I want!
  5. I think it would be decades before any age hardening showed enough to be measureable, and then it would take meticulous measurements to quantify.
  6. The wife was complaining her MK25 was too heavy, saw the opening and jumped all over it. LGS had just got in a new P239 tactical so I took her down to try it out. She said she liked the thinner, smaller size so it came home with us. Came with two 8 round and one 10 round mag plus Sig has a deal going that will get me two more ten round mags and a pistol bag. Put 70 trouble free rounds through it today, didn't put any on paper but the 8 inch steel at the range took a beating. I really like the short reset trigger for fast follow up shots, may just have to have that installed on my MK25. Sights and controls are identical to the 226 so hopefully the wife will pick it up fast. Downside is the threaded barrel is an oddball thread that Sig uses so I'll have to get a different piston before I can utilize the TiRant 45 with it, that and I'll have to spend a couple hundred on different carry ammo to make sure it has the right match, but then burning up ammo isn't really a downside
  7. No experience with that specific model but I just built a rifle from nearly all Fulton Armory parts. The fit and finish of the receivers and handguard was fantastic, very tight tolerances. They have a reputation for great quality and customer service. I emailed with a question a couple times and had a response the next day. They had forgot to pack the rail sections for the handguard, I got them 4 days after the email was sent. I just started the break in but it is already putting out some nice groups. I think they may be scarce on the used market because they are so well liked.
  8. Welcome from Iowa!
  9. and gave the federal government an excuse to double in size and pass the "patriot act" so they could spy on Americans all the while ignoring where the responsible terrorists actually came from........... and that isn't just for socialist libtards!
  10. Nice looking rifle, looking forward to a range report.
  11. All kinds of math involved with blowing schit up, they should do that for field trips in math classes, attendance would go up for sure!
  12. I've had that done twice from overhead grinding WITH safety glasses. Once from sawing counter top without glasses. Damage to the eyeballs is right up there with an abscessed tooth for most irritating pain.
  13. Lancer mags provided me a good example of how crucial tolerances can be for followers. Just a couple hundredths difference between an older version and a new one caused them not to function in my Matrix build. I have helped the local NG Armorer test mags they bought in bulk from Brownells, said he tries to run them from full three times before he puts them in the mix but has trouble getting the ammunition to do it. He said the same on followers, nearly every feeding issue he has come across was related to the follower.
  14. Glad to hear there is already precedence in Cali. Hopefully those open minded legislators will let this slide as well, take a guess on what phrase was sarcasm! I feel for my California brothers, keep up the good fight.
  15. I have no interest in owning one but love the fact it is happening. Anything that chips away at the NFA is a plus in my book. I look for more states to take the CA, MA, and NJ approach in an attempt to squash this. I bet the cleaning process is a joy, having recently experienced suppressor cleaning and having the task of cleaning Dads black powder rifles as a kid I would not want to combine the two!
  16. She's a looker for sure Maybe it's because I was weaned on it but I have always liked the A2 for rifle length. Downside for me is it makes me want to bash things with it
  17. I don't know what Redwing is using for laces but one pair has three years in the rotation and another has two without even a hint of fraying. They are on the thin side but never come untied yet still come open easily white a little pull. They will replace them for the lifetime of the boots so figures they would make them tough.
  18. Cool little pair I predict double trouble

  21. Had a Viridian light/laser, piece of junk compared to my Streamlight and Surefire stuff. As you said, they have poor controls and there were no gaskets anywhere for resistance to water. battery life was less than half what I see from my TLR 1. Sexy looking pistol
  22. Been eating more chicken and fish, saving the beef and pork butt for Friday nights. Gave up on most bread and potatoes. Eating more whole grains and brown rice for carbs. Lots of beans and vegetables. Cheeses have been the hardest for me to moderate, that and giving up my homemade sourdough bread:(
  23. About four years ago the last lead mine-smelter in America closed its doors due to the high cost of EPA compliance. https://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/item/16881-epa-closure-of-last-lead-smelting-plant-to-impact-ammunition-production
  24. Returned the knife for a replacement, it was waiting for me when I got home. This one works fine, I'm a little skeptical of the assisted opening without a safety lock but will carry it awhile and see. It snaps open with authority and locks up very tight, no wiggle at all when I twist on it. It's a nice looking lightweight knife , think I'll use it for occasions when I have to dress up a bit, weddings, funerals, business meetings and such.
  25. Problem that is biting Sig is they have passed the pain off on their civilian customers, not cool! In my short stay at the 1/75th I fired more live rounds than I have during the rest of my life combined, those men train hard. I never counted but remember being on the range for the entire day wishing we would run out of ammo at noon, blisters on the hand oozing puss, gas burning your eyes to a crisp, god damn that was fun!
