  1. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  2. Nice work! That sounds patent worthy, you could charge good money for cleaned up version. Make them for both 308 and 556.
  3. Nice looking rig, hard to get much lighter without spending a fortune on lots of titanium parts. I managed 6 pounds 8 ounces with optic, light, and a P mag on a build for the wife......first thing she said was "It's so heavy"
  4. Sweet, a classic for sure. Beauty like that deserves at least a mag a month
  5. Congratulations! Have you started getting parts together for his first rifle yet?
  6. What irritates me is the lack of follow-up by law enforcement on this type of crime. Due to my information being stolen from the government I get one of those monitoring services for free so they caught the transaction in time to shut it down, There had been two transaction, one for 4 cents and then an order for an X-Box. The 4 cent transaction just happen to be at a motel chain I had just checked out of after an 8 month stay then just minutes later the X-box. The bank made me whole and sent a new card but there was zero follow-up from law enforcement. It should have been easy to figure out who ran the number at the motel, time and location were known they just needed to find out who had access there at that time.
  7. I was always partial to the strawberry version, easier on the gut and a real giggle fest I did run across banana flavored once loved me some banana man! This thread may just be hijacked....
  8. I made that journey once and damn near got a trip to Leavenworth, walked away to take a piss and my buddies got hauled off, never saw them again but it didn't sound good. Scared me straight.....for a week or two anyway
  9. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  10. Far be it for me to give legal advice but I'm going with Silencer Shop, they were heavily involved in getting Iowa back into legal silencers. For now it looks pretty simple but there are lots of little details that vary state to state. Another reason I went with them is the 30 day money-back guarantee just in case it doesn't work out. The federal rules will be changing in July.
  11. Working on a trust right now, only hang up so far is my little brother is deployed to Afghanistan right now and it looks like he may need to do his paperwork at his local courthouse per his state regs. I may have to proceed without him and try to get him added later....legal mumbo jumbo gives me high blood pressure.
  12. Very nice rack on that bad boy!
  13. Welcome from Iowa via North Carolina!
  14. Wilson is sold out of blems right now but with the 308AR discount the regulars are still one of the best deals going. http://www.dwilsonmfg.com/store/p18/AR10_Bolt_carrier_Group.html
  15. Love me some banana man!!!!!!
  16. Welcome from Iowa....via North Carolina!
  17. My sympathy for your losses.

  19. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina, north of Jefferson a bit.
  20. Not everything for everyman but you can trust what they say. Their review process is great and totally unbiased by ad dollars, hence the high cost of the rag.
  21. One of the main reasons I wouldn't do the handicap license plate, just an invitation to get robbed and have to shoot someone. Situational awareness would be my number one must do, next is the confidence angle, chin up shoulders, back, no fear. A loud, authoritative, and threatening voice can also head off some bad situations. All else fails, shoot first, fast, and frequently!
  22. Airborne!
  23. Just making sure he wasn't involved anywhere I am, standards to uphold you know...... I doubt we get any simple answers from gatorboy, he seems more interested in causing a ruckus than attempting to fit in.
  24. Doubt he belongs to a serious militia..........guess I should check the rolls. Thank God he isn't on the rolls!
  25. Let's not paint all militia members with a broad brush. It has been a long time effort of the government and the MSM to make all militia members fit a certain stereotype that is less than flattering. This couldn't be further from the truth. Militias were an integral part of this country's birth and may be what preserves Liberty for her. With militia training being a felony in Iowa I can't speak to my home state but in my travels I have met many more squared away, true American militia members than I have kook wannabe types by at least a 20-1 margin. The true patriots don't draw negative attention to their units.
