  1. I saw this this morning. I almost posted it then. I had a feeling it’d show up eventually.
  2. If you don’t own one yet, THIS is the one to get. https://www.rainierarms.com/2a-armament-ar-22lr-conversion-bolt-carrier-w-free-mag/?trk_msg=4BVAQ3TQ3E94H3O4F8C8DIUM6K&trk_contact=E0C5PM9P9N3NG1T82FJAOFEIHC&trk_sid=NV1N51N4PUUKMBCA07SHF4H9VC&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=Shop+now&utm_campaign=New+Product+Spotlight%3a+2A+Armament+Conversion+Bolt+Carrier+Group Great company. ADCO or AR15Barrels.com both are extremely reputable in making barrel modifications

It’ll be cheaper to buy a new gun
  6. If she actually welds in that shirt, she's more man than I am.
  7. Here's your acetylene wench.
  8. time for the BFH
  9. at the risk of sounding elitist... What scope are you using? This... are you sure your scope it level?
  10. Mmmm, the Mk18... You're making me drooooool.... If rails aren't your thing, there's also this option...
  11. It's been shown that a 7.5" 5.56 will still perform up to 50 yards with terminal results. For LE, that's practically all the performance we need. I would feel perfectly OK with a 10.3" doing 100% of the things I need to do in my job.
  12. That whole apparatus should be made out to be carbon fiber/fiberglass material. It’s only a matter time before the aluminum transfers enough heat to the plastic slat.
  13. The A2 model is happening!!
  14. Ps. I saw a posting that Wolf is trying to push their 9x39mm again.
  15. Found it.
  16. I miss @Jgun being here. He was loading some wizz-bang 300’s. I think he had a 125gr flat bottom, getting near 2,600fps. There is a thread around here somewhere
  17. Jacob is on point though. A 12” to 14” non-shotgun would be hot. I’d really like to see a UTAS XTR-12 done up “right”.
  18. I have not used a adj GB yet. It seems more like a fix for people who buy off the shelf rifles, and are upset with stock performance. I believe an adj GB could further dial in a well built rifle, but at the sacrifice of being VERY ammo specific. If I were competing in +1k long range competition, then I might consider it for the added benefit.
  19. Before the adjustable GB’s came out, I was a huge advocate of “the longest gas system that can fit on a barrel”. A midlength gas on a 12.5” to 14.5” has been done successfully by several companies. The .308 has a LOT of gas. There’s no reason at all why it shouldn’t work. When I designed my CF wrapped barrel, I argued with Proof Research about whether or not it’d work. Seven years later, plinking Mil surplus to high grade match... never a hiccup. I still have never put a drop of oil on it!!! Understanding weight enertia, and expansion and control of gas, makes the machine run properly. You might have to bore out the gas port to about .100 to .110... no worries though. The GB usually has a .125 hole inside. I have two 16” rifle length barrels (on piston systems) and one 17” rifle length (on a DI system). The 16’s are at .110 and the 17 is at .099
  20. I may have broke several federal laws when playing with your Mk18. In order to get the best possible trigger speed, I took your Mk18 upper off your registered SBR lower and swapped it to another lower with a 3G trigger... I can neither confirm nor deny whether the second lower was also a registered SBR lower. We’ll just have to assume that I would always play within the confines of the law... even if conceivably inebriated and afflicted with poor decision making. here are my three retina burn videos. I honestly couldn’t see shit after this. All are the Mk18. The first two are with a 3G trigger. The third is with the original trigger from the SBR

  22. Ambi... you’re out of luck. You can put an extended lever on however. Badger Ord makes a latch replacement that “should” work. I’ve never worked on a LAR8, but the mehanics should be par. Youre looking for this part... its a real PITA to pin (almost need three hands) but it isn’t rocket science.
  23. Almost every American rifle, 6.5 to 7.62, is 5/8x24. It’s a pretty safe bet.
  24. I see what you did there. I missed that.
