  1. His trusts aren't that expensive. Also, he groups with lawyers in other states. He doesn't make their money - they do. It's more of a "cooperation" to get the best info out, than a money-making scheme. If you want the best info out there on NFA Trusts - hit his website and check out his blog. All the latest NFA Trust developments are right there, in blog format, newest to oldest. Free information. If you want the cheapest trust you can get, then feel free to do whatever you feel you need to.
  2. Foward Assist is the same parts, for .308AR and military-issued M-16/M-4 weapons. Same part. Having serrations on the carrier doesn't do you any good on a 308 bolt carrier - the forward assist can't reach it. It's a "dmiensions" thing. Look at it and think about it. On a 308AR, the only thing the forward assist catches is the shoulder on the 308 carrier, where it changes diameter. Now, does a forward assist WORK on a 308 carrier? Yes, it'll grab that shoulder, right at the place necessary to put that bolt carrier and bolt into battery. Are there any 308-specific forward assist decives out there that work with carrier serrations? Probably, but they're specific, and I haven't seen any of them. DOesn't mean they're not out there. Bottom line, don't worry about serrations on a carrier body. It's not gonna matter if it's serrated or not. Not on a 308AR.
  3. I read that to my boy Jake... That'll cure alot of his mouthy-ass 19 year-old comments, right there.
  4. There are several issues with that trust form, as mentioned in the link I posted. That was the front-runner news piece in the link I posted.
  5. The PA-10 part of your build is the proprietary stuff you need to be concerned with. DPMS-patterned barrel, the DWilson BCG should run fine. Always check headspace, no matter what 308AR you're building, though.
  6. DWilson was on here asking us questions about field repair kits - what should be in them? He got 4 or 5 good answers, with varying items in each response. Within an hour, he had 4 or 5 different versions of field repair kits listed on his website. I bought the big one immediately, and received it fast. Recently, I purchased my first 308AR complete BCG from him - I picked up the full nitraded version - it's fantastic. survivalshop picked up one from him, and had a couple ejection problems, and Dave came right in and urged him to contact about it. The parts are very, very high quality, and the customer service is top notch. Purchasing through him, you're getting more than just parts in the mail, and that goes a very long way in this industry.
  7. I'm seeing that paper target between the two metal ones, on the same target stand, and it looks about 50 to me - the rifle barrel is in the pic I posted, so that's your firing line...
  8. Ed, I just watched the vid - are your primary targets at 50 yards?...
  9. He did - he nailed it, big time. We still won't give him any slack, though - Robo, if you want slack, CUT THE ROPE!... <lmao>
  10. What lower are you running?
  11. I was gonna bring up the R2 thing...
  12. Right on, Bubba - that damn thing is NICE!
  13. New album out. Here's the first radio track so far.
  14. Consider the complete BCG from DWilsonMfg. If you have any kind of issue with it, you will certainly be taken care of.
  15. Yep, damn sure be as safe as you can be. Outside of that, kick some ass.
  16. Alot of us have built - or are building - the Matrix Aerospace .308 receiver sets now. Matrix makes the receivers for Ruger, for their rifle. There's also plenty of info in the Matrix section, under the Manufacturers section.
  17. Yep, I used HEATOFSUMMER last night for 10% - this morning I get an email saying use HOTTERHEATOFSUMMER and get 15%... That's my luck. I might have to buy the 14.5" pencil now... On a great note - I ordered late last night, had a shipping notification by the time I got to work this morning, with a tracking number - out on a Friday. It gets delivered on Monday. That's some damn fast service, right there. All the was from Cinci, OH to PHX. Can't beat that with a stick - thanks again, Nathan!!!
  18. I really did - thanks to Rob... LMFAO... I've been watching my step, because I knew the next one could be the last one... I don't know if I'm scared of the "selfie system," or slightly aroused... :) I love Matt's announcement, too... "Ladies and Gentlemen (and Tom), ..."
  19. Damn, I swear I put this response in there last night... If you're putting on a PIcatinny rail, then any modern rings will work. The brands don't necessarily have to match. That Bobro will have the scope too high over the bore centerline - keep it as low as you can get.
  20. I'm in - by that time, I should have steel targets hiding up on the ridgeline, various distances.
  21. Nathan, I just snatched up the 16" pencil 5.56 barrel and gas block - thanks for the code, man!
  22. Ed, that might be too much on a bolt gun. Rings are the better answer on a bolt gun.
  23. There was another one... It was "classsified..." <lmao> Never to been seen by the light of day... I think it was Epic, too... Damn Shame...
  24. What the fuk is gonna expand, man? You gonna get that aluminum upper receiver so damn hot, so fast, that you're worried about steel rings expanding at the same rate?!!? You're talking about either a 2-stroke engine, or a machinegun, now. Stop fucking worrying about that poop on your rifle. You're not in a Zombie Apocalypse scenario.

    Snagmag

Yeah, we can't help you. That's long, black, and has a big lump at the end. There's no help for that, man...
