Sisco
Mag glad your feeling better. Find out next week what is going on with me. Every morning when I get up I am getting 15-20 minutes of crushing chest pain. Went to the ER via ambulance 2 weeks ago thinking heart attack. Turns out my heart is fine. Looks to be either gallstones trying to pass out the duct, or a possible issue in my esophagus/stomach. Prefer the former but won't know till they put a scope down my stomach next week. Getting old sucks but beats the alternative. Till then the first hour of the day is hell.

They should be able to do an ultrasound and/or an MRI to check for gall stones. My dad had that a few years ago. It's not a pleasant feeling. I hope they figure it out and fix it soon. Sisco
I was thinking the same Yeah I do that sometimes though that triggers it as well. What really sucks is any heavy exercise can trigger it as well. I have had to hang up exercising until this gets cleared up. Wierd thing is ten minutes after an attack, I feel normal. As a matter of fact I hit the rifle range with the AR10T today. Groups were nothing to write about, and I need some trigger pull practice, but it felt good to be shooting again. That is why they are doing an endoscopy just to make sure it isnt a stomach tumor. Hope its gallstones.

Gall stones are nothing to fook with we have a friend a lady who thought she was having mild heartburn did nothing about it ate tums a year later she is fighting for her life the gall bladder was bad clogged up with sludge and went septic and almost killed her her liver from the infection is all fooked up when you feel like something is wrong it probably is get checked out and a second opinion.... good luck
planeflyer21
...and a second opinion.... good luck I've yet to have two doctors agree on anything...without the first contacting the second and telling them what they thought was wrong. Happened with my very own diagnosis of "gallbladder disease". Told the hotshit surgeon that, due to the location of the pain and a congenital condition I have it wasn't possible. Asked for proof-positive, so he ordered a HIDA-scan. Lo and behold, I was correct. Phucker didn't even apologize when he called to tell me...just hung up after saying "I have no idea what's causing the pain."
Armed Eye Doc
My dad had gall bladder problems a few years ago. He had pain/pressure under the bottom part of his sternum that lasted for a couple of hours to a couple of days. It went on for almost a year between ultrasounds and MRI's ordered and a follow up scheduled. The doc at the follow up would say that it looked like there was a problem but the test was too old to be able to do anything based on it. The cycle repeated. This was brought to you by the friendly folks at the VA. He did have surgery to clean out the gall bladder. He had sludge instead of stones. He is fine now. The VA can do a good job if you don't die while waiting for treatment.
Sisco
Thanks for the thoughts guys. Back home from the hospital minus the gall bladder. Had a good surgeon, he saved my wifes life 10 years ago when her appendix burst and she went into shock. Symptoms are slowly going away, now I gotta get back to doing some serious range work. Nice to get back on the forum. Nice thing living in a small town, I know and trust the guy with my life in his hands. He moved things around to do the surgery the day after I came in, then took off for Canada fishing. Hope he limits out.

Robocop1051
I had my 1st gall bladder attack two nights before my wedding. I thought it was a heart attack too. I had it cut out about 6 months later... I want to the ER about 6 more times in the meantime. That surgery was the best thing that ever happened to me. That was 5 years ago. I feel like a million bucks now.
