planeflyer21 Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 Five centrally ridged ejection seat cushions and grip-shaped arm rests but the pilot saves the bird (and crew!)!!
Armed Eye Doc Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 I would hate to have to do their laundry after that.
DNP Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Good thing he's got a little horse power in that bad boy. Damn that was close
jtallen83 Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Crew was sure was confident in their pilot not to have yanked the handles! Those Navy Flyboys are the schit!
Tripledeuce Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Buy that pilot a case of good bourbon!!!
planeflyer21 Posted July 11, 2016 Author Report Posted July 11, 2016 We dropped an F-14A off the bow cats when I was in, the grab on the catapult came apart. We were totally off the hook, as it had been magnafluxed the week before and been greenlighted for use. $30Million (at the time) splash! Crew popped out fast after going full afterburner. This crew on this E-2D rocks!
