MikedaddyH
AR stripped lowers registered as pistols can be built into pistols and changed into rifles. But ,a stripped lower registered as a rifle cannot be changed into a pistol. "Other" can be built into any configuration ,even with a vertical grip but à Stamp might need to be purchased. planeflyer21
I believe they (BATF) came up with that option on the 4473 due to the Thompson/Center Contender and Encore firearms. We really need to start back at square one with all these BS laws and get back to square one.

According to my dealer, who is a 'class III' the only box that is supposed to be checked by the FFL when selling a stripped lower is 'Other Firearm' since it is neither a pistol or a rifle. What kind of 'registration' are you referring too?

What kind of 'registration' are you referring too? Yep, if it's stripped, it's "Other." Nothing more. That dealer didn't transfer a Long Gun, and he didn't transfer a Handgun. He transferred an "Other." That's the only way a stripped lower is supposed to go, as Other. AOW has nothing to do with this, unless a dealer is transferring a fully-built firearm that meets the AOW classification. Stripped lowers are registered as AOW ~"other".

It's obvious that recoil moved the pistol back a little, right before the shot was snapped - you can see if from the bigass gas cloud in front of the barrel... That's one baaaaad little bastard.
