Rsquared
I'm glad to hear the consensus on not going TOO organized with the range rules $hit. After all, we all know what's safe and what's not. We all know NOT to be a fukin dumbass. Smartass, yes. But dumbass, no. We all know that all we have to do, is to have a quick group huddle if something wants to be brought up, and then...........it's done. Like Tom said, big boy rules. Common sense rules. The real common sense.....not the bull$hit that every other dumbass in this world talks about. Next thing you know.......someone would be asking me to put down my beer an hour before shooting something. And THAT's DEFINITELY NOT GONNA HAPPEN! That would be like asking GREG to not drink tequila. Edited July 2, 2018 by Rsquared

Rsquared
Perfect example. Last fall, I think during the night shoot, Tom and Matt headed off up onto the hill to check targets. Me, Robo, GREG, Sketch and my daughter continued to blast away at some targets on another smaller hill at approximately a 70 degree (maybe less) counter clockwise bearing from their position on the larger hill. When they returned, they asked that we all gather up for a moment, and asked that moving forward we hold off firing when people are on the hill. They said how they heard ricochets coming close to their position. Without any hesitation, we all agreed that we could keep it in our pants for the 10 or so minutes that it took for ANYBODY to be (in any form) downrange. No arguments. No nothing. Just common sense, no nonsense rules. And we didn't have any problems. This is just the kind of example that I think needs to be stated here. Big boy rules. Like Tom said. We don't need the range masters screaming at people or waving paddles or flags. We all know what we're doing. And we all know the consequences for doing something stupid. And adding alcohol is no excuse. Even after drinking 50 beers, I don't think that I'm doing anything stupid or dangerous. Well....maybe stupid. But not dangerous. Hell, why do you think that I was feeding GREG and Kate mag after mag after mag on the MK18. It's so I could laugh along with them.........while still drinking of course. All in all, all joking aside, I think that we all have a pretty good handle on what we're doing when we're out there. I couldn't feel any safer with any other bunch of guys. I'm probably to blame on that a little bit , since I provided tracer ammo and forced them to shoot it .

I'm way down with using a Claymore as a rifle rest, Mack. I'll have a Fall Shoot Campfire Story about this stuff, right here... 18 Claymores in a daisy-chain. Plus ALOT more tied into that firing line... Somewhere on an old computer, I've got a team picture of us on the hill, and the mushroom cloud in the background... "The idiot with the C4 basketball" story goes along with this... and it was not funny...
98Z5V
ONe of you bastards that venture forth on the newest Fall Shoot - just remind me around that campfire... Someone shout "C4 Basketball!!!" and you'll see a reaction kinda like Doc saying, "Armadillo!!!"... I'll fucking lose it... That's like priming the fuel pump, right there. Doc SET ME ON FIRE about armadillos, with one simple comment, last year. Fuk those things. Armored Rat Motherfuckers that jump. Fuk them. Same thing will happen, and you'll trigger me. C4 Basketball is all it will take...
