imschur Posted September 10, 2013 Report Posted September 10, 2013 It's like there is a black cloud hovering over the day job. Quality complaints up the ass, machinery misbehaving in the oddest of ways and electronics failures for parts no longer available. There is always "something" going on but never like this. Getting sick and tired of it.
392heminut Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Must be the 'Evil Gun Karma' working on you! You need to get rid of those things! <lmao>
imschur Posted September 11, 2013 Author Report Posted September 11, 2013 I had 100 rounds of subsonic 300 blackout at my desk in plain view for several days. The boss while not a gun guy, he mostly gets it.
98Z5V Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Now hold on, here. When did you build a 300BLK? And, more importantly, where are the pics of said beast? Your work is making me nuts, too, brother - I miss you, in a Bro-Mance kinda way... <dontknow> :))
texas30cal Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 We used to have times like that in the plant where I worked as a maintenance machinist, but we also had times where we had no real problems for extended periods of time, hop it gets better.
Rsquared Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Now hold on, here. When did you build a 300BLK? And, more importantly, where are the pics of said beast? I'm right behind you on this. I don't remember hearing about this build. Of course, me and my memory these days..................................................
Rsquared Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 That looks pretty cool brother. But details man.........we need details!
unforgiven Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Looks good bro.All the gory details please.
imschur Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 Got beat up all afternoon today by the business owners for stuff that is beyond control. Really felt like just walking the fuck out.
Matt.Cross Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Got beat up all afternoon today by the business owners for stuff that is beyond control. Really felt like just walking the fornicate out. As a rule, people will tend to walk all over people who tend to let them. Find your way to the end of your rope brother, then let loose with both barrels. You'll feel better and they'll learn that you will only take so much unjustified flak.
imschur Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 Well I dont bite my tongue in the least but it's way more complicated.
Matt.Cross Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 Well I dont bite my tongue in the least but it's way more complicated. I can sympathize brother. My way of getting leverage on the management is to go hunt up jobs until I get offers I can take up if "negotiations" fall through, but it works incredibly well. It's amazing what becomes possible when their alternative is to start all over with someone else.
imschur Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Posted September 12, 2013 Well my boss is my landlord and my boss at my property management side job. Kind of a prisoner until I can get my old lady to buy a house.
Matt.Cross Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Well my boss is my landlord and my boss at my property management side job. Kind of a prisoner until I can get my old lady to buy a house. 10-4. Disregard the previous statements, I'll rectify the cranial-rectal collision immediately. <nutkick>

seasprite Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Tiled our kitchen took two weeks vacation to do it and it took the full two weeks to finish it and I was wasted after words. Needed a vacation from my vacation. You guy's that do this for a living <thumbsup> Hope it starts going better for you Drew.
imschur Posted September 14, 2013 Author Report Posted September 14, 2013 So customer is complaining the final product we ship them is concave/convex. They were correct, I wont dispute this. My issue is management doesnt believe the product has always been like this. It's an insignificant visual because the calculations of some moves are not whole numbers. The motion controller doesnt translate perfectly and this combined with a very coarse ballscrew results in a .0006 error with every layer. When the product is at full OD the total is .080. Today I brought in two factory reps. Confirmed what i know. Were not able to correct it at the time. Management still wont believe it. I finally asked them if they thought a fucking ghost entered both machines and edited the code. Very frustrating

Depending on what they're doing .08 may be tiny or huge....it's all relative. :) Edited September 14, 2013 by shibiwan
