Personalized a set of ESEE knives for my niece to be, they get married in June but she has been at every family holiday since their freshman year and they are finishing up their first year as teachers so she's been my niece for near a decade now in my book. Farm girl, always working with her man on the farm but I noticed she always asks someone for a knife when she needs one. I tried to dye things her wedding colors but the large scales are the only material that got close, the scabbard barely took any color and only on the trim, the small knife scale went almost black and it is the one I didn't think would take color. It's gonna piss off the nephew but I'm gonna give her lifetime sharpening for them, I showed the nephew many times over the years but kinda cut him off so he would learn for himself, I just wannna make it handy for her to carry a knife wherever she goes.

Got my AdventureCraft from Exodus Knife & Tool, short of shave some hairs I haven't done anything but handle it some, it's already obvious @beachmaster has a winner here  The carry size is perfect for me, fits my pliers pocket just right with the sheath keeping it easy to grab the handle. The handle is small but doesn't feel thin in the hand, has enough meat to get good control for fine stuff, comfortable to choke up on it. Comes with a very nice sheath, good positive retention but not to hard your thumb can't pop it off. At 3.3 ounces with the sheath it carries like a feather, can't be a drop of wasted material in it. The wood box gives it a real deluxe presentation, that collectors panache, I'm torn, put it on the shelf and admire it alongside some other prizes or take a hint from the serial number and carry it 365, could compromise and keep it in the go bag for the car, it would be at the ready 365 anyway. Put a pic of it next to my present edc, ESSEE Izula first version, for scale.

You mind if i share the pics?

Not at all Brother, if a picture could transmit the feel of this knife in the hand you would be ordering them in the thousands, your eyes make you skeptical at first look but roll it around in your hand a bit and it's a fit.

You can't beat a good fixed blade edc, but you can beat one

I beat on my Esee’s like Ike beat on Tina LoL. I’ve had quite a few of their knives, kept the favorites and sold the rest finish building my M5.  Been carrying this Izzy 2 daily since early 2020, it typically shares cutting duties with this one.

Today’s folder31470456-598E-4891-862C-AA7D482B295C.thumb.jpeg.7e83b0f3f69d8a7736f3828f70989ab6.jpeg

I use my Junglas a lot at work, so it’s in a backpack with me daily over the years I’ve bolted and zipped tied different things I’ve found essential for doing wetland work in coastal Louisiana. I recently decided to add the leatherman pouch and a Kick I had sitting around so I’d have some tool options and a smaller blade on the kit. With the job I have I’m often wearing chest waders in 100% humidity temps around 100°F and when trimming trails and shooting lanes in August/September for deer season having a kit setup with everything I need on a belt works well with gym shorts. I used two Tek Loks to attach an old wader belt to the sheath so I can carry it either scout or baldrig depending on water depths or if I’m carrying a backpack or climber.6EA1BAF2-9EF8-401E-B3F3-E8D7494B259F.thumb.jpeg.461974c5a4db6ec52f49b8f1bcda19a7.jpegC27B2D1D-3DF7-425C-B70B-118FC6DADEFD.thumb.jpeg.af3b45e04700f730db53ac0d60d307fc.jpeg

People make a big deal about 1095 rusting but there you are using it in a very damp environment and it hasn't turned to orange powder, what do people think we did before stainless? Only had to put my Junglas to work a few times clearing paths around downed trees, worst one had a good group of people pile up so before you know it everyone wanted to take a swing with it, everyone was impressed with it and I didn't get blisters, hell of a "small machete"

And that stuff that looks like normal grass around the stump and trees is a mat about 6-10” thick that’s floating on around 4’ of water in that swamp. Walking on it feels like an old style water bed, so it’s ridiculously humid. I’ve never had any issues with its rusting much, just wipe it down with white vinegar every so often the oil it with olive oil or something with a bees wax base. All I tend to use outdoors are Esee’s with 1095. I’ll dig and see if I still have the pic of an 8-10” diameter white oak I chopped down with it.

Dropped some gift dollars on a goober.. Gerber strong-arm fixed blade. Coyote. Where to start? I have this blade for" just now in my hands reviewing" and the there is a stressful day on my mind. Work sucks! I herd my gate open and then a package thrown on my stoop. Wtf ups ! I get my knife in a box. In a bag. To the knife.

This knife grip feels like it's coted in a soap or silicone texture (like atlas gloves when new and wet)  but fits in the hand as a slim grip. Hope the grip gets more grippy after use.

It has 2 features a full tang and the sheeth. The blade won't pop hair but is sharp ish. Thick enough to beat on

The best part of this is the size and the sheeth. Compared to the Hogue size it works well on a rig in front but what is 1" over a dull blade.

The sheeth is hard plastic? But retention is tops! I can't shake it loose yet. If the hogue had the sheeth options, it's a no question. But the hogue is still a better option.  I give it a 4 out of 10 my new scale.

Wait 5 years for the scale to weigh..
