I didn't know a Hyabusa engine would fit in a 250cc dirt bike frame... So how is that working out for you ?

I was in a TLR dedicated site for along time, there was a guy on there with a kx110 (not good with Kawi call letters) with a klx500 motor in it. Where there's a will there's away

Tom remember stop drop and roll

If he's lucky enough to stop drop and roll by his own will, he'll be ok.

Yeah, I might not have the choice.  I might drop, roll, roll, roll....  tumble tumble, slide...  roll, roll, ...  THUNK!  Stop.

Trial run was successful.  Video coming soon...

Brilliant idea came to me at work yesterday - tons of take-off tires outside, in the tire bins. One guy was working on something, and he says, "What size if the rear wheel n your CR again?"  18"...  He hands me a tire.  I went out back, dug out an old 21" for the front, and started changing tires last night.  There's an unfinished neighborhood right beside ours, only thing that was originally developed was all the paved roads and stop signs.  Just got back from running it over there.  WOrking n uploading the vid now.

This thing is ridiculous with street tires on it...  :hethan:

It does burnouts like a possessed beast.  Good thing is, I don't care about the tire, and it didn't cost me anything but the time changing it.  I'll get you guys a burnout vid...  <lmao>

Still have some time left uploading the "empty neighborhood..."

There were no crashes - there was also a little white Ford pickup that pulled in there for some reason.  Dude was parked on my prime #1 selection of road for a "dragstrip."  I had to improvise, and run other smaller roads.  I kept up on the tank to keep the damn thing from looping out from under me, but I did scoot back and let it lift on one short stretch.  From experience, it flips over on it's back in an amazingly quick amount of time  - I wasn't doing that on asphalt, in a t-shirt.

Damn thing gets up to speed quick, though.  Those tires grab.  Got about another hour before the vid is complete.

Oh, the rest of the afternoon, there was a cop car sitting under a shade tree in that "neighborhood..."  - saw him sitting there during two different trips to the store.  I need to take this thing down to Tucson to the supermoto track...

Sounds like a damn good time <thumbsup> Tom, take that beast to your local drag strip and get your revenge on her ass! In the process you'll shock the hell out of a lot of people, especially if you swap out sprockets...   :2nd:Back in the mid 80's my buddy had a hopped up XR500 he took to the strip, people were snickering when he pulled it up to the line. Lets just say that he schooled them pretty good! <lmao>
