Sensai Posted May 21, 2014 Report Share Posted May 21, 2014 Hi, I'm Gary (Sensai) I'm a retired Army helicopter pilot. I flew 1st Cav MedEvac in Vietnam and got tired of being shot down. Then I got a Cobra transition, and flew Snakes for the rest of my time in the Army. I was a Cavalry troop aeroweapons (guns) platoon commander during Desert Storm. I was a test pilot for every aircraft the Cav had, and served as Maintenance Officer most of the time. Nowadays I'm working as an Instrument Technician at a nuclear power station to keep busy and to pay for the toys. I enjoy time with the grandkids and watching them grow and develope. I spend what little spare time I have shooting and reloading. I also cast bullets (boolits). I have a few pieces of metalworking equipment, a mini-lathe and a mini-mill. My intentions are to build a DPMS pattern long range semi-automatic rifle and an AR carbine. We'll see how that goes! Thanks for your military service, I've always been intrigued by the stories of Vietnam heli veterans ever since I read a book called "Apache Sunrise", I'll bet you have a few hair raisers yourself.
