  1. The inch mags do not work as well in my LAR8 as do the metric or plastic. The plastic direct from RR work GREAT! Respectfully Terry
  2. I'v had my 650 for about 15 years, and never really had any problems with the primer feed, or anything else. But, with ANY progressive, you need to pay close attention to details. Respectfully Terry
  3. Yep, Mostly the neck and shoulder. They are worked the most by firing and re-sizing. Respectfully Terry
  4. It all depends on how many cases your getting with case mouth splits, or If your shooting for tgt, benchrest accuracy. I'v got a case annealer that I'v had that is based on one of the old ones from Frankfort Arsenal( the origional militrty arsenel) haven't used it in 20 years. Mostly, my primer pockets get loose after 15 or 20 loadings, then its time to throw them away. Respectfully Terry
  5. I like the one that goes " Gun control is using two hands." Respectfully Terry
  6. Our local gun shop just got in, TODAY 36ea, 30 round metal ar 15 mags! Her price? $24.95 Respectfully Terry PS, Now you know why I go there, and sometimes pay slightly more for stuff .rather than price shop. T
  7. I mounted a Leupold 6,5-20 MKIII on it. When I do my job, its consistantly shoots under 1/2". It almost always shoots under an inch, even when I'm a little slopy,LOL!! Respectfully Terry
  8. Please rember that any optic focused for your eyes, will NOT be focused for your son;s eyes. Respecftully Terry
  9. Did you read all the responses? Especially the one from the guy who said that loads that shot great when loaded on his rockchucker, were NOT accurate when loaded with the Spar-t? Respectfully Terry
  10. I have a 650. At one time I had two, one set for lg primers, and the other set for small. If you don't get the case feeder with it, you might as well save some money and get the 550. The 550 is a good machine that will be hard to outgrow. Its hard to beat the RCBS Rockchucker to start with! Iv got 4 presses mounted on the bench. A Rockchucker, an RCBS "Big Max", a very heavy press for case forming, A Star, and the 650. The rockchucker gets used the most. Respectfully Terry
  11. You are correct, it is a RR upper and bolt. But it headspaced perfectly! respectfully Terry
  12. And yet, I fitted a DPMS bbl to a RR upper and bolt with NO trouble! Respectfully Terry
  13. Yea, the guys here are a pretty good group! Problem is, as soon as something comes up, its gone! Terry
  14. An extra soft toothbrush, in my experience. Had to quit checkering a few years ago, some medication I was taking made my hands shake to much to checker. Respectfully Terry
  15. I trie3d one on my Kimber ultra carry. Slowed me down by .75 seconds over an average 9 shot string, using a competioion timer. Got rid of it fast! Respectfully Terry
  16. Is this dpms pattern? Thanks Terry
  17. Thank God that dammed front is moving! Here in Colorado. it was -25F on Thursday night, and got all the way UP to 16 on Fri! Terry
  18. Actually, Blacksheep, the 243 win is slightly LONGER than the 308 Win. 2.045 vs 2,015. Not really enough to make a big difference, but the 6mm bullet must be seated deeper to feed through the mag. Thats considering the 105g 6mm vs the 150 g 308. Respectfully Terry
  19. Well, I for one, have saddle horses, and a wagon and hitch for the horses! To me, its like having an extra gun and ammo. Never can tell when you might need them. I also have a 20kw generator, and several hundred gal's of gas for it. No, I'm not a doomsdayest. I just live 10 miles from the "city" in a place where it snows, and power can go out from 1-10 days. Respectfully Terry
  20. The only powder on the shelf at the local gun store was Leverloution? And, they only had two cans of that!LOL!! Terry
  21. Its probably from trying to remeber all the lies she's told. Terry
  22. They make millions using guns, then want to dis arm us! Have never paid to see either in anything. Terry
  23. As far as I'm concerned, thats one of the nice things about the gel! Put it where you want it, it dosen't move except to squeeze out when you put the metal in the stock. I used to use the regular acc=glass. and THAT was a PITA. Stuff was so thin, it would run all over the place. You had to bed stocks in "sections" so the stuff didn't run where you didn't want it. Respectfully Terry
  24. I don't understand your problems with AG gel. I'v used it for over 20 years, and never had any problems.. And, I'v used it to pillar bed. Respectfully Terry
  25. So, get your own page! My wife got tired of me being on hers, and built a page for me!!!LOL!! Terry
