  1. Well, actually, I have to admit they aren't jeans. Thei'r cargo pants. Bigger pockets! Terry
  2. A bullett through my pants pocket might burn, a little. But , I don't have to draw, just fire. Sure, I know I'll jam the gun, but one bullett in the chest will give me time to clear it, and fire again. I know, because I have a pair of Jeans with multiple patches covering the holes from practice.LOL!! Respectffully Terry
  3. MMA and other "real world" sports don't help us 60+ seniors. I rely on experience, foresight, and being prepaired. If "I think" I might need it, I find a way to have my gun IN my hand. Respectfully Terry
  4. To bad they won't fit me. I take a 8 1/2 6E. Reaspectfully Terry
  5. Interesting!!!!! on the one I did, the front sight was easy! The rear was a bear!!! Sounds like a person might run into anything with these. Terry
  6. I'm waiting for reamers for 7.62X 40 and 6mmX 6.8. Terry
  7. Since my ammo in 5.56 is used in multiple guns, I use a small base and full length die to make sure the all chamber. I also use slightly small expander balls, and so, have never had to crimp in any cal. wich include 5.56 , 6.8 , 30 HRT, 7.62X40 and 260 Rem. Respectfully Terry
  8. Thanks, Rene. Terry
  9. Total ignorance here!!! Whats a "dissy"????? Respectfully Terry
  10. I'v had to do a little , very little filing on my metal FAL mags. Go for it! Respectfully Terry I have metric and inch metal mags. The inch seemed to work better in mine. The plastic RRA worked the best.
  11. Brownells has a two strike and your out policy on products. They get TWO complaints on a product, and its off the shelf, and out of the catalouge! Respectfully Terry
  12. Mike the diameter of the bullets, and the expander ball. Respectfully Terry
  13. Sounds like not enough neck tension. Whats the dia. of your expander ball? Either that, or plastic nose is getting stuck in the seating stem. Respectfully Terry
  14. Sounds as bad as the Denver hub!! Sent pkgs headed for Durango to Seattle, and Miami!!! Terry
  15. Goods for the Woods is the local Durango Colorado place to go. She dosent have much copention, but her prices , when I check, are mostly as good or better than Bass Pro. Respectfully Terry
  16. Local gun shop has fotten in a fairly good supply of Winchester primers. She also has a fairly good supply of SOME powders. Mostly IMR. Respectfully Terry
  17. I do a cost/benefit analysis. Most of the time, I just replace the dam thing. Terry
  18. My LGS is getting in regular shipments of powder, and ammo. Her stocks are slowley buliding up. Saw more powder on the shelf today than I have in months!!! Regular shipments of 223, and 7.62X39, but little 308. 22's still gone as soon as she gets them. Respectfully Terry
  19. The coaxl is one of the best. No idea of where to get the best price. Respectfully Terry
  20. Wife and I left a good business, and Calif, 25 years ago. Never regretted it!!!!! Terry
  21. Same here in Colorado! Watched ammo come in to the LGS, and it was all gone befor I left! Local Wally World clerk tells me they get ammo on Tue. and Thur. Same guys are there at 6;30, for a 7AM stocking. The ammo is moving, at least, some is even still on the shelf. LGS has both 223 and 7.62X39 on the shelf. Hard to get is .22, 9mm, and 45. Terry
  22. They are trying to put the 40 round mags "on the street" so as to nulify the ban. No serial numbers, or dates of mfg. If the get them to Colorado streets, no-one can say WHEN they were made, so it "grandfathers them in. Respectfully Terry
  23. Hoarding,,,,,,,,I'm guilty!!!!! Walking through Wally World, a couple pf days ago, noticed the had some 45 ACP 230gr ammo on the shelf! I bought 3 boxes, and my wife bought 3 boxes.Local WW limits it to 3 bx per consumer. 300 rounds!!!!! In addition to my "hoard". 5,000 rounds of mixed mil, commercial, and hollow points, and another 5.000 loaded re-loads, with another 20,000 cases and bulletts ready to load ( yes, I have the primers and powder, too.) Now, why in the hell did I need 300 MORE 45's? I only have 6 ,45's to feed, between the wife and I. What I "need" is more .22lr's!!!!! I only have @ 2,000 rds of Hi-Velocity, and 1,000 rds of std vel. My LGS "saved" me 500 rds of stanard vel rounds, as they Know that the wife and I sponser the local 4-h team. But, I'm going to need at LEAST another 2,000 rounds for them for the season. Don't know what I'm going to do.. Keep buying 22's, of course. But, I may be forced to use MY OWN ammo, if I can't find more target loads. Respectfully Terry
  24. Every time I handle a garand, a m-1 carbine, or a military .45, I wonder about the stories behind each gun. respectfully Terry
