Yeah, don't mess around with that steel cased $hit. Leave it for the commie rifles. I've shot a little out of one of my 10 carbines, and it ran fine, but that was basically just to burn up what I had on hand. And I've never bothered replacing it. That was early on, and it's been nothing but brass cased stuff since then. For blasting purposes, stick with some standard M80 like 98 said.

No worries though sapper. You can still get any replacement parts that would be needed. They may be sold out at times, but they usually restock in a fair amount of time.

Yes. Parts don't have a shelf life. BUT.....sometimes they tend to grow into completely new rifles.......and the cycle continues.

I think the optics will mostly depend on what you plan on setting up the rifle for. You'll find all the fella's around here run damn near the entire spectrum of optics on all sorts of rifles. As an example, I use a Nightforce NXS on my 10B SASS, a Trijicon ACOG on one of my 10B carbines, an Elcan Spectre on my 10B SBR and straight irons on a 10B A2 carbine (my oldest). I use Troy flip-up backups on just about everything I have, just because I like some kind of redundancy. A bunch of Eotechs on a handful of AR-15 SBR's. Like I said. Pretty much for what you want the rifle to be able to do. Long range, medium range, short range, kick in the door. You name it. More than likely, someone around here either has or had one.

^^^^98 nailed it. All of my 10B's have both springs on the bottom. As was said, swapping it out is fairly inexpensive too.

And that, my brother, is why I'm gonna change that trigger out to a S3G trigger. That was a FUCKIN example of firepower superiority. And just think......we still had 7.62 firepower ready to go after that. The MK18 is probably one of my favorite (read as fun) weapons. Suppressed or not.
