  1. She's lucky that wasn't a viper - what a dumbass...
  2. ^^^ TRUTH. Just ask GREG...
  3. ^^^ That's what I'm talkin' about, right there... Well done, Doc...
  4. Hitting a target 250 yards away, below you, from a hilltop, WITH a pistol... was a mind trip...
  5. ^^^Those vids are gold, for setting these up and tuning them. The written directions are excellent, but those vids are priceless. Things are different for this trigger now, over when I bought my first one. I bought a Hi-Speed DMR, and it was already set up. Now, you just order the Hi-Speed, and you get the National Match springs, the DMR springs, and the Service Rifle springs - and you have to set it up. So, literally, my first one was a "drop-in" with it being set up. I ever tweaked that DMR, never needed to. The next one I bought, years later - I had to set that one up. The one after that was in the @Matt.Cross Mk12 Mod 1 Grendel. After going through a couple of them, it's easy to do. Working on these triggers, and setting them up, makes the setup on other triggers easy as hell, too. I remember all the flak a few years ago on the Elftmann triggers, where guys would mess with them, and they wouldn't work right. TOO easy to set up an Elftmann, and I did that for Neil here. This is great information for adjustable triggers, Jim - doesn't matter what kind they are. It does show the superiority of the Geissele Hi-Speed, though. I don't use that phrase lightly, either...
  6. We will run that Little Hooker WAY OUT THERE, brother...
  7. Here's the finale - back in the truck. Amazing work.
  8. The Pinnacle of an Engine Builder - to be selected to rebuild the engine from the original Bigfoot, Bob Chandler's creation. This was the original "monster truck" before the name existed. As a kid, I saw this truck in person at GravelRama in 1978, and it made a lasting impression on a 10-year old... Here's the engine rebuild series, and it's pretty badass to watch, as an engine builder.
  9. You'll find that your final zero will be a little different, when you're looking at total turret travel, and it won't be 14.5 mils up and down exactly, but that's because of the scope centerline and barrel centerline (height over bore) coming in pretty close to 2.5". You'll see that the total travel up and down will favor drop, for distance. On my hand-made brass and handloads, I'm pushing the Hornady 147 ELD-M at 2650fps with 43.0gr of RL-22 powder and CCI-200 primers. Nothing wild about the load. That keeps me supersonic to 1500 yards, and I'm 17.2 mils of drop at that distance. With your scope, you can easily run the gun out to it's supersonic range and still work it - dial what you can, and the reticle will allow you to hold the rest, based on that reticle design. Zero worries. It's gonna work. Once this beast is all together and broken in, I'll send you some of my ammo to try out.
  10. With the internal elevation adjustment on that scope, you'll be very happy. That'll be about 14.5mils of up and 14.5 mils of down travel, once zero'd. You can easily zero this at100 yards; no need for a weird-distance zero. That LaRue LT-204 C.A.N. mount is flat, right? It has no MOA cant built into it? It won't matter with that scope's travel. I ran the LT-158 on mine with 10 MOA built in, and I needed it based on internal travel.
  11. Nice selections, brother! That is a CRAZY amount of elevation travel in that scope!!!
  12. ^^^ I like that common-sense approach. And the way it was worked in there, to separate the man from more of his money... that he has to keep hidden... The Anderson lowers are good to go, I've done two or three of them, with no issues at all.
  13. This whole thread is my 4-Buck heaven, right here. This thread is the entire reason that 4-Buck was created in the first place. All those som'bitches need blasted, no remorse. That guy with the camera had to have that thing on a LOOOONG pole... and that still took balls... No way. Not in my backyard...
  14. This woulda been my way of making up with nature. In short, fuk deer. Typically, I hate those a$sholes. Big time. I'll fight a deer before I'll ever fight a beaver again, though. That's the fucking spartan of the animal world, right there, I don't care what anyone says. Badgers are gay - fight a beaver and find out what you're made of...
  15. I'da taken her, brother, for real, and raised up that little one-eyed heffer. Teach her to kick TactiCat's ass. Brother, you have no idea how true that opening statement really is... I'd fight Mike Tyson before I'd fight another deer.
  16. The snake problem was in the other thread. Fuk that. #4 Buck would solve that, about 3 boxes of it, looking at the numbers of those badass snakes... Hell no...
  17. That's EXACTLY what I was thinking, brother, when I thought of the tannerite-miss-eat-shiit!...
  18. I carry two of these, plus a 6ft long 3" wide self-adhesive wrap, for each. The wrap is the "appendage tourniquet." Start that wrap at the top of the bit limb, and go down to the bite site with it, as tight as you can make it... https://www.firstaidonly.com/11-piece-snake-bite-first-aid-kit-in-a-box.html
  19. Even better - make those critical targets tannerite - you KNOW if you missed them on the way by, and that you're gonna eat shiit at the end of the cable...
  20. I'll take her. Blind as hell, she'd be an awesome houseguest for the rest of her life, and eat well. I gotta figure out how to talk to TactiCat about this, and explain that she's not a dog, because that rabid bastard attacks dogs. It's my way of mending nature, and coming to peace with deer... Those motherfuckers...
  21. They have sales, and the 4th is a decent one. What they select for the sales is a free-for-all, though. Are you signed up for their emails? I've seen that if I look at a certain item enough, it winds up as a sale item in an email a few weeks later... If everyone here searches that exact scope, that thing will go on sale...
  22. I don't see this as a problem...
  23. Race Gun Shiit. If you're Race Gunnin', they can pay for themselves with less overall reloads, and suck that mag outta the magwell for you when you're empty. Depends on if you're making money at Race Gun Shiit, and smoking everybody else, getting those overall $$$ awards and sponsor kickbacks...
  24. It shouldn't. Should plug right in there. I've got the same cap.
  25. That was awesome - In my very soul, I'm a complete adrenaline junkie, and would run that over and over and over...
