cpl666k9
If you look at a fire map it looks like northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and the west side of Montana are ablaze.

Sisco
Mag for what its worth, they have pulled just about every able bodied fire fighter and private loggers from this area and sent them out in some cases with some of their heavy equipment to Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington to help fight the fires.. A friend with his own logging business is out there with his whole crew for the last month.with no schedule when he is coming back home. Told me to find another source for firewood this year, as he won't have time to log any. Edited August 15, 2015 by Sisco
shepp
They got him cutting break lines sisco? My buddy that I posted the ice bike videos of trained to be a fire jumper till he learned you got the call and you had to be there in 24 hours. He did a lot of control burns with the DNR here till he lost his leg then with a private company after. He ended up quoting with them because they wouldn't listen to any of his advice. Fighting fire with fire it's a crazy art

Sisco
Our family in Idaho say they are having dust storms its so dry. And they have never seen that before. I guess there is absolutely no moisture in the soil for quite a ways down.
