Driver drove into crowd killing 30 and injuries 100  + , then driver pulled out a gun and shot into crowd.

Without even thinking too hard, we were talking (around the supper table) about banning high carrying capacity trucks, especially those with those fast shifting automatic transmissions!!!!!!!!

 

And my oldest son came up with the fast shifting automatic trans comment....chip off the old, scraggly block!!!!

Last I saw there were 77 dead. They found guns and grenades in the truck.  There was supposedly another person in the truck.  They appear to have had bigger plans.

Well, we are at war, but the communists refuse to acknowledge it because it just might undo all the divisions they have created in their attempt to destroy this nation.  Humor displaces the anger and rage that the situation engenders.  Sooner or later, humor will not be effective.

We quit fighting the terrorists a long time ago. We have done nothing but retreat with only hellfire missile attacks and a few raids to appease the homefront. IF we would put our hearts into it as a nation these cockroaches would be banished back to the hellholes they come from. I'm not a huge Reagan fan but unleashing Bill Casey to handle the terrorist issue kept us safe for over a decade, he simply exterminated everyone that had any suspected link to terrorism. Yes assassination is against our self imposed rules but he used the method with great results. A few dozen well selected assassinations could go a long ways to solving our present problem.....or we could just make the middle east one big glass bowl.

I was detached from my ship in Toulon, France, and took a train to Nice, because that's where the international airport is located for the region, about a 2-hour train ride.  In typical military fare, we weren't told where we were going until the tickets were in our hand.

"Where the hell is 'Neice'?  Is it close to this Nice place?"

In typical coastal city fashion and layout, Nice is setup with most commercial/business along the coast line.  Beautiful, clean city.  The nightlife all happens along those main thoroughfares, slowiy curving the contour around the bay.  An ideal amphitheater for fireworks on their national birthday.

A perfect setup for the maniacal truck attack.

    I too stopped in Toulon & Nice , a couple times , but I stuck to the whore houses on the back streets .

Driver got arrested for road rage six months ago. He must not have got it out of his system.

King Barry will come out with a statement that it wasn't terrorism it was road rage.
