Crap like that is why I'll never live there again.  I had a good 12-year run, but won't go back.

Ditto ... What he said !!

Mike the more I read the calguns thread the sicker I got. Unbelievable what they have to do. Everything I read showed nothing that would make a 5.56 round less lethal. And thanks for the linked reference material.

the first link really shows the disconnect, its all emotional "feelz before realz" stuff to make the public think that something of value is happening, when instead its all just pandering to the low information voters who get their news from MSM

eta: personally I'm going with the bullet button and extended rear take down pin to be able to keep all the other "features" in play.  if the SHTF happens then I can quickly put the gun back into full service mode with little effort, I'll deal with the potential felony issues afterwards

A big problem is a lot of state judges appointed by Jerry Brown and, even worse, all those federal judges appointed by Obama.  We are going to need a lot more judges like Gorsuch before things get better.  Not sure it will make a difference in California though.

They won't know if you e destroyed it or not. You just can't take it anywhere with you. Can't have it at the range, or in your car, or in your house during a very constitutional and extremely legal random search----I mean ammunition check.

Why would you suppose that such a search is constitutional?

Sorry for the double post - pesky edit timeout!!

Right now, they're trying to get the kinks worked out of the new ammo purchase restrictions - they were planning to use the fed NICS system to do the on the fly background checks for every purchase but the feds told them to go screw themselves so, the system that by law was supposed to be in place by the beginning of July 2017 still is not ready to be implemented - the first phase of the plan is supposed to go into effect Jan 01 2018.

You'll have to hang around a while and start viewing comments as potentially sarcastic.
