Matt.Cross Posted April 4, 2017 Report Posted April 4, 2017 Until such time as I can figure out how to fly with it, the Tannerite will be Tom's purview.
392heminut Posted April 4, 2017 Report Posted April 4, 2017 BTW, I missed the first turn on the way out and didn't figure it out until the road dwindled down to two ruts! I couldn't find a place to turn around and finally said fukkit! I shoved that Ram diesel into 4 wheel drive and plowed through the mesquites with that 20 foot toy hauler. That is one pullin sumbitch!

We saw you driving the wrong way. You passed my daughters they got lost out there also.
MikedaddyH Posted April 4, 2017 Report Posted April 4, 2017 I saw one of these Hawks on top of a cactus at 250 yards. It circle over head the next day. It had a 5 foot wingspan.
98Z5V Posted April 5, 2017 Author Report Posted April 5, 2017 Wasn't he hanging out close to the 400-mark for awhile? Something spooked him and he flew off. Well, NOTHING spooked him, and he didn't give a shiit, then flew off when he was damn well ready to.

Ballsy little feathered freak for sure.
Armed Eye Doc Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 Great pic. Was that flying around out there?
392heminut Posted April 11, 2017 Report Posted April 11, 2017 Not that one, that's just Mike pulling schit off the internet!

Sisco Posted April 11, 2017 Report Posted April 11, 2017 Can't be, there was no tractor in the picture.
The Father Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 I take it this shootfest is held south of Phoenix near the town of Maricopa. Must be close to the I-8 and the drug mule trails. How many attend this fest and you got some attendees flying in.
98Z5V Posted April 25, 2017 Author Report Posted April 25, 2017 I think there were 6 or 7 of us out there. We had 8 or 9 at the Fall shootfest.
Sisco Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Quick question from someone who knows next to nothing about the desert: Is the surface hard enough for a "Scamp" sized travel trailer behind a 4x4 Ram? I know Hemi brought his, but he also is a lot more savy then I am about driving in sand. I am getting too old to sleep on the ground.
98Z5V Posted April 25, 2017 Author Report Posted April 25, 2017 That would be fine out there, man - as long as we didn't try to do it during Monsoon Season!
392heminut Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Yup, you'll be good to go Sisco! Even if you have to get off the beaten path you'll be okay, ask me how I know!
MikedaddyH Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Its only 3 miles on a gravel road and less than a mile on dirt .

DNP Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 I brought a 21' toy hauler....behind a Chevy even. You'll be fine in a real truck.
