So my father in law picked up a retirement job working the sporting goods counter at Wally World....

FiL: Hey, do you shoot .308?

Me: (wondering where this guy has been for the last 10 years!?!) uh, yeah. Why?

FiL: oh. Do you ever shoot Perfecta ammo?

Me: (now confused) Yeah. Sure. I'm not picky. Why?

FiL: oh. We received a crate of 3000 round of .308 Perfecta with damaged boxes, so they were discounted to $9.97 a box. 

Me: holy crap! I should swing in and grab some. 

FiL: oh no. That was last week. We sold it all over the week. It's gone now. I'll keep my eyes open if we get some in again for you. You know I get a discount on that stuff too?

 

GAWDFUQINDAMMIT!!!! Don't toy with my emotions like that!!! I married this mans daughter. I gave him three grandchildren. I ask for nothing from him.... and he holds out on a .308 sale!?!? I don't even think I know this man anymore.

It sounds just like a neighbor. " You know that 11k generator that's new in the crate in my garage you wanted? I just gave my cousin in Florida a great deal on it." Damn! Perfecta is ok ammo too.

 I have to admit… I've been on the receiving end too. A friend of mine was selling his Honda EU 2000 generator, and told me his brother was going to give them $200 for it. I told him, "shiit I'll give you $250 for it." 

It's still sitting in my garage… And his brother still hasn't talk to me.

Hell, I just picked up a Honda trash pump out of the ditch 2 weeks ago.

Carried it up to the road, checked the gas tank, looked everything else over, and tentatively,  gently, pulled the cord to see if it was locked up.....it fired and ran!

This was after I called my shop supervisor to see if he wanted one...he "was gonna be right there"....

 

This didn't bother me much until I thought about selling it for maybe $75-100 just for a "good motor"...

Walmart normally sells zq1 for $10 a box, might want to stop by and check them out :-)
