Yes. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you no good, low down, enabling and deplorable rat bastards.

I look forward to the next time that the entire crew can get together again.

The 308AR teams are a tight knit family. Even when we argue or disagree.

Man, the Food Coma is strong this year - just got back from a buddy's house.  His wife did the turkey, he smoked a big ham,  she had ALL the fixins!  He told me to bring beer, so I did.  I got to terrorize his two sons, 9 and 5 - those boys are a hoot!

Then I get home, Hector the neighbor is throwing a football in the street with his nephews.  He yells, "Hey Tom! You want a plate?!"  I'm NOT turning down his wife's cooking!

I'm wiped out!  It's like being in the desert for a long weekend with you guys - except it all happened in an afternoon!   :laffs:

Happy T-Day, everyone!

I smoked a turkey breast, made Mac and cheese and baked a cake.  We went to my brother's house.  He smoked ribs, pork loin and pulled pork.  Another brother brought spiral sliced ham.  All the other fixings were there as well.  Susan slept most of the ride home and I am probably going to be out as soon as I stop moving and watch Johnny B.

Perfect Thanksgiving Episode.  I know I've missed a T-Day in 2003, in Afghani-Land, and I've missed a bunch of Christmas seasons, from being deployed.  I missed every MLB World Series for 10 straight years - and the only way to hear what was going on was to program the frequency of the broadcast into my intercept system.

Felt the pain, years of it.

Being deployed sucks.  Being deployed during a holiday sucks more.  Being retired, looking back on everything, all the missed memories of those holidays - is priceless, no matter what the sacrifice was.  It's a memory that you'll never forget.

This is almost 6 hours - plan your time wisely, pace yourself.
