seasprite Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Guns & Ammo did a ranking on how gun friendly your state is. We Missouri made #9 you boy's in AZ took 1st lucky dogs oh well I'm not complaining #9 is far from being the worst. http://www.gunsandammo.com/2013/03/14/ga-ranks-the-best-states-for-gun-owners-in-2013/#.UUKGU4BMRpc.reddit
imschur Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Vermont, Utah and Wyoming are on my radar for when I do not need to live in CT any longer
blue109 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 there was a mistake in there...they mentioned az has a "requirement" to inform LE you are concealed. i dont believe this is the case.
BLKSHEEP Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 #17- Louisiana, This is interesting but only someones opinion.
unforgiven Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 16?? I think there are alot more firearm owners than what they state. They have Vermont in the top but they just passed alot of restrictions. This article is a little fukedup.
Microgunner Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 I'm a #12 Floridian. Not the best, but livable.
Rsquared Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 I'm not surprised to see that my (almost socialist) state of Maryland is so far down the list.
planeflyer21 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 there was a mistake in there...they mentioned az has a "requirement" to inform LE you are concealed. i dont believe this is the case. In Arizona there is no "requirement" to volunteer information to law enforcement that you are armed/carrying BUT if they ask and you lie, you may be prosecuted for "misconduct with weapons". Jon
IowaFClass Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 That was very informative to say the least. I would have thought Iowa would rack better because of the CC laws, stand your ground and the civil suit laws here. Pretty much if you don't have a record and attend a class you will be granted the permit. Proir service members only need the DD214 and you get a CC on the spot. It amazes me the people that carry here. You just need to spend some time at the LGS and watch who buys. Yes getting a Class 3 here is pretty much hoping the governor says but that is not a big deal for me.
Matt.Cross Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 #11 I was hoping for at least top 10 Heck, my state came in at 19th, and I feel like our gun laws are superb!
imschur Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Well CT will be 50 or 51 within days!!! Insurance required, $140 tax per gun per year, Existing AW's will need to be made compliant which is non functional, just about everything will be considered an AW...14 pages of nonsense
MONTANA308 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Vermont, Utah and Wyoming are on my radar for when I do not need to live in CT any longer Don't forget Montana love to have ya here. I call the moving company get the ball rolling that $140 a gun tax might just break a guy.
MONTANA308 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 That would put me out like 2000 grand a year for the ones they know about.

I am moving." Maybe we can start a career board for those willing to hire folks fleeing antigun states. Jon
Matt.Cross Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Maybe I need to go ahead and get my loan to start a gun manufacturing business. You could all just move away from your Nazi oppressors and come work with me.
texas30cal Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 15? Not bad but we are going to have to work on that.

imschur Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Holy Shit! In other words, only the rich can own firearms? I think the real deal is what happens if you dont or cant afford to pay? Confiscation? I am beyond angry... We really need to get the nation in the hands of thinking people.

We really need to get the nation in the hands of thinking people. If that kind of BS makes it all the way down here, look for me on the news. I've lived long enough already.
