You reminded me of my brother's friend he had in Jr Highschool. It was the early '70s so the kid had some long hair growing, already against the Dad's wishes. Anyway, cops brought home junior one day for smoking weed. With the cops present, Dad gave junior a haircut on the front lawn with his Buck knife. Could never do that now. If it was my kid and I felt the need I would, and if the cop standing there didn't like it he could get the hell off my property. A few years before I retired I answered a call from a woman having trouble with her 10 year old son. Kid was giveing her crap and always picking on his little sister and the lady didn't know what to do with him. I told her "Yank his azz up off the couch and take a belt to him!" She said "I can do that? Isn't that regarded as child abuse now?" and I replied "Of course you can, it's not child abuse, it's discipline!" I told the kid that if his mother had to call me back over there I was going to be the one using the belt! Never got another callback! Armed Eye Doc Posted May 22, 2016 Report Share Posted May 22, 2016 I had a patient/mother tell me her 15 year old daughter went to a lake party when she was supposed to be at a friend's house. The mom called the cops on the party because there were 20-something guys throwing the party. Everyone got in trouble including her daughter. When the daughter got released to her mom, she got her a$$ paddled out in front of all her friends with the cop's blessing.
