I am new to this forum, but not new to our 2A rights and obligations. I have been very active on arfcom and the LI Firearms Forum and hope to both learn and contribute some good stuff here too. Unfortunately, I live behind the iron curtain in new yorkistan and the brutal czarist cuomoski has seen fit to compromise the gun rights of honest citizens...hopefully things will change, but who knows for sure as the SAFE act casts a dark cloud over us, making us anything but safe from the tyrannical state and federal administrations.

I own a RRA LAR-8, as well as a few other 7.62x51/.308 Win platforms and love the original Stoner AR-10 concept and the many spinoffs. Bummer that they all didn't follow the same compatibility path as mil-spec AR-15s. The .308 is a great round, extremely versatile for a variety of game and the AR-10 family is a great way to send those rounds downrange, accurately and reliably. I am looking forward to this new experience here.

Regardless of AR-10 clone platform we prefer (ArmaLite, DPMS/Rem, RRA, etc.), it shoots a heavy round that you don't have to worry about minimum projectile speeds, barrel lengths and fragmentation effect to determine the ultimate stopping power.
