AAARRRGH!!!

Canon EOS 5D. Trusty, old, reliable. Probably not worth fixing since the actual LCD is cracked. Probably able to find a used one for under $500 (this was a $2500 camera back in the day). At least it still works.

Shib, you shouldn't try to lock the bolt carrier to the rear so hard...  I'm just sayin'...

It wasn't the bolt carrier. It was the hammer on the Sig when I slung the camera on my shoulder.

Ohhhhh that sucks!! I left the door into the garage open twice today man I got my ass chewed!! I've been doing concrete in 90' weather this week I'm a lil burnt out too bro. (90' here is unheard of)

6am - 10:45pm at the shop... clearing the manufacturing backlog so I can start running billet lowers! Can't wait!!

thats sucks indeed. Now I know why my Nikon came factory fitted with a big hunk of plastic over the screen. Does Canon offer a flat fee rebuild, refurb sorta thing?

From what I hear the price of the "glass replacement" is already $200. Add the LCD and it's $200 more (quoted by a local repair place). Being my EDC camera for a long time, it severely needs cleaning (mirror box is dusty as hell) so that will add up more $.

Picked up a replacement off ebay - $429. :D

I don't see the point of upgrading to a newer one. The trusty old MK1 5D is more than enough for my needs.

oooh... just had a thought. A limited run billet lower with the 308ar.com logo. :D

So here I thought one .308 would be enough, and now you tempt me... You'll want some media behind this product release, which means a minimum price for a limited edition of lowers at somewhere around, say, $600 per.

But of course we'd get a group buy discount, right?

600 per lower? Your insane! No way, not even for Shibi. Good thing you aren't setting his prices.

Well like I said, we'd get a discount, the $600 would be for the collectors out there. Just imagine having a safe queen with the logo for this place... the envious stares at the shooting range "Dude, nobody has one of them anywhere!" And so on.

$600? F*** that. I assure that it'll be competitively priced. I'm a cheap ass - and I pass the savings on to you!!

Besides, I don't believe in safe queens.

(On a related note, just got a contract for semiconductor manufacturing parts - $1200 per unit!)
