edgecrusher Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Umm, why not mount one in that Nissan gigantic beast?
Dane Armory Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Wait... I think I can legally make those since I have the SOT-2 paperwork all approved. :D ?[/quote}But you can only sell it to other class 3 dealers. Great gun for 308ar outings !
blue109 Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 don't you need an official request letter from an authorized purchaser to make anything that goes PEWPEWPEW?
shibiwan Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) I could mark it as an LE demo, just like our suppressors, SBR's and full autos. Edited August 12, 2014 by shibiwan
blue109 Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) don't you still need a letter for a demo? I know even a class3 dealer can't buy a post86 sample without a letter of intent from those who wish to demo it. not sure if it's the.same with building something? Edited August 12, 2014 by blue109

It's so easy when you're a manufacturer.:D
Dane Armory Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Shibi .. you can make any auto, semi that you want to BUT it has to be labeled to you or your company and registered with the BATFE. And you cannot sell it ! On pre 86 you can only sell it to a Class 3 dealer with a transfer to said dealer. You cannot sell that gun to an individual , NO exceptions !
shibiwan Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Yes, we've read the rules... a little too much IMO.:D
BigP623 Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 The unmistakable BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP from the A-10, most impressive thing in the air to me.

warthog984 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 I was a crew chief on the A10 when I was in the Air Force. I used to loved operating the hydraulics to cycle the gun. Here is a picture of the 30mm round next to a 308 and 223.

warthog984 Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 I never knew were the sent the empty cases too. The weapons loaders used a machine called the dragon to come in and empty the spent cases. I had a lot of friends that were weapons loaders and would give me empty cases. I remember one guy had has dorm plastered with empty cases. You have to love the combat special. Depleted Uranium, High Energy, and I forget the rest. I think it was 5 different projectiles. Good stuff. Each pull of the trigger was 100 rounds. The pilots would get pissed during training and mess with the round limiter because they wanted to shoot more rounds. Who could blame them.
