The price is good for any amount but the free shipping doesn't kick in till 10 boxes. I almost jumped on the 168's, glad I waited as my rifles seem to prefer the heavier SMK. Curious to see if there is much ballistic difference from the 7.62 version, I'm about halfway through a 500 lot of those.

Very true, the rings act like wiper blades cleaning the carbon out. I wonder if that test would give the same results 500 or a 1000 rounds later. Even with an increase in cleaning I have to think there will be some wear that would change the results.

Any hard evidence this improves accuracy or is it anecdotal/theory? Curious just how it would do this, I always figured that tiny bit of play from rings would allow a more uniform seating of the lugs.

If you really want to see it then by all means do it! Most of us here could care less about F class rifles or matches......... you might get lucky.

I agree on the barrel, skip the chrome lining and go with a QPQ/nitride finish. Same or better corrosion and wear resistance without the accuracy effects of chrome lining.

Wait for the next big jump in oil prices and the soccer moms will be dumping their extended cabs for cheap. I'm just amazed at how many high end trucks out there are strictly used to haul kids and groceries!
