  1. Good to have you back with us!
  2. Somehow I don't think confiscation would be that cut and dried to be perfectly honest. The same policemen who feel so strongly about confiscation, won't hesitate to raid a stash that is purported to belong to the local drug kingpin, or an underground weapons ring they've caught wind of... It is my personal opinion that confiscation could be achieved by well meaning officers who are intentionally misinformed as to what they are really doing. I'm not saying it WILL happen, but I can see how it would be possible.
  3. It's a very easy question to answer. When both my kids were born, I was asked if I had guns in the house. The only thing they were told is "That's not something I'd tell my doctor." My wife was instructed to answer the same.
  4. Wow! Never seen a finer demonstration of cop drop and roll.
  5. RIA has a few models that were made with metals inferior to their initial line of pistols. Probably as result of a lower cost supplier, but they've since improved on that front. Before that wear starts translating into slop, send that sweet thang off for some NiB coating in on the frame rails and corresponding slide grooves, bye bye wear, hello lubricity.
  6. OUCH! Man, I thought Tom was evil, you are evil's redheaded mother-in-law.
  7. Brother, you think that's steep, try buying ANYTHING from Les Baer....
  8. I have some bad news for you sir.... <lmao>
  9. How do you think Santa knows whether you're sleeping or awake? :o
  10. They are the best if you ask me. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Daniel Dregne the other day. Great people, great product, and very eager to do anything they can to help you.
  11. You write their paychecks my friend. Take advantage of that fact and call them up. They are very knowledgeable and they're not going to steer you wrong. The better informed you are, the less likely you'll get yourself in trouble. They will make sure you know what you need to know.
  12. Well, let's be fair, "they" have never met us.... <laughs>
  13. To legally get a Tax Stamp for a self-built can, you have to submit the correct form to the BATFE. Based on your aversion to the BATFE, I'd say you probably don't want to go through the trouble, but I could be wrong.
  14. Glad it worked out for ya, I'll lock this. <thumbsup>
  15. Madhouse, before the insanity settled in, they were running anywhere from the mid 200's here all the way up to the mid 400's range. Now that the insanity has settled in, it might not be so difficult to get up into the 5-600s and sell it.
  16. You can ask them all the questions you want. They want you to be legal just as much as you want to be legal. I highly doubt they're adding you to a watch list just because you're trying to do things lawfully.
  17. Holy moly! This one can be closed then... <laughs>
  18. Do you have any pictures of the mags, and if not, can you get some? Let me know if you have them, I'll help you get them posted up here if you need me to.
  19. I've never bothered to sign up. It's a rather large and disjointed group of people. I prefer a community setting. Everybody here knows one another, and most of us share a common mindset. That's why I don't spend much time in those larger, more disjointed settings.
  20. I could very well be mistaken about GAP, I was under the impression they're using POF's chassis and cyclic system.
  21. Wow, I wish MY complaints were that I only kicked 6 guys butt before I ran out of breath... <laughs>
  22. I have to say, he's pretty lucky, not much in that area except meat and a couple nerves. Glad it wasn't fatal.
  23. POF and GAP have both had very good success with the piston system. There are varying opinions on it, but I haven't seen much factual data to support the opinions that knock the piston system.
  24. I think it's a nice design, but I can't help but think of how difficult the outline of the thing would be break up.... You'd need some serious ghillie drapes for that beast...
  25. That's a beautiful pup! I hope she enjoys a long life and the best of health.
