Just read the rifle was 5.45x39 caliber , wonder if thats correct . The lame stream media is still saying its a C & R SKS.

Gee, I wonder what possible motivation the media could have for laying the blame on the Curios & Relics list? <sarcasm off>

Yep, local LE word is that Brown has dropped his dobber in the dirt a time or two.  He does have the gift of gab with an audience. He took over a bunch of " good ole boys" in big "D" the numbers show that he runs a tight ship and often sails it into the wind. mms

That would explain most of the fast shooting (low recoil with that round from an AK74 rifle) and the higher hit percentage (if he got a good one, they are MOA easy).  Plus the 5.45 round is all steel core (milsurp anyway).

Buzz words like : Sniper , when he was just a shooter.

Right

sniper is a marksman or qualified specialistwho operates alone, in a pair, or with a sniper team to maintain close visual contact with the enemy and engage targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the detection capabilities of enemy personnel. Snipers typically have highly selective or specialized training and use crew-served high-precision/special application rifles and optics, and often have sophisticated communication assets to feed valuable combat information back to their units or military bases.

this guy:

bricklayer, which is related to but different from a mason, is a craftsman who lays bricksto construct brickwork. The terms also refer to personnel who use blocks to construct blockwork walls and other forms of masonry.[1]In British and Australian English, a bricklayer is colloquially known as a "brickie".[2] A stone mason is a term applied to one who lays any combination of stones, cinder blocks, and bricks in construction of building walls and other works. The main difference between a bricklayer and a true mason is skill level: bricklaying is a part of masonry and considered to be a "lower" form of masonry, whereas stonemasonry is a specialist occupation involved in the cutting and shaping of stones and stonework.

big difference

The DART officer was a local guy with family still here.  I know his dad and one brother.  I just got back from the viewing.  It was sad as expected.  I saw numerous LEO's from as far away as New York.

Doc  thats gotta be heart wrenching    prayers for the family       Wash

This article reads funny , says he bought this AK  from a guy on Face Book , but then it reads its not the one he used , they are still referring to the SKS , strange .

what happened to the initial 2 shooter theory they were working?  I saw/watched one video and there was damn sure more than one stream of fire going on.  Could have been LE returning, but I wasn't sure at the time.  I'm clearly no expert on AK's, but aren't they supposed to be a very poor choice for sniper work?

SS....that article fits exactly what they want. That's all it's there for. And probably a complete lie. It's an on-line arranged Face to Face transfer with no background check. They go as far to mention "he seemed like he would have passed a check 100% just a normal guy". The bit about it NOT being the gun used....makes their story just that- a story. We never said the murder weapon was purchased this way...just that A weapon was purchased this way. I don't care if aliens visited from out of space and handed to him, or if he passed ten background checks and even went with the strictest of rules to aquire it....he's still a dirt bag murderer piece of shits.

Outstanding point; a "sniper" is a professional specialist.  This snotball was anything but professional.  He was cowardly and lucky, IMHO.
