bubbas4570 Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 My FUR (Fukn' Ugly Rifle) is in process to be assembled! All the parts have been accumulated, with the upper on order from Midwayusa.com. Standard rifle lower, with a Dissipator upper. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/951250/del-ton-ar-15-dissipator-a3-upper-receiver-assembly-556x45mm-nato-16-barrel the upper^^^^^^^^^ The ugly part comes from having different colors and manufacturers of furniture along with a different upper and lower manufacturer, mutt internals....
bubbas4570 Posted October 14, 2016 Author Report Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) Finished the FUR tonight, this morning.....now off to the range later today to see it work. First build, and I am hooked on how easy this is!!! Edited October 14, 2016 by bubbas4570 cleaning up pic posting

I never thought of that acronym. I like it even better now....because that is how I feel about dissy's also. I have always liked them since the early 90's (when I owned my first AR) and only now gotten around to owning one. Thanks for the comments guys!
bubbas4570 Posted October 14, 2016 Author Report Posted October 14, 2016 I must say, I have rarely felt a trigger like this in an AR. Sweet, smooth, and clean. I don't have a trigger pull guage, but it is less than the other triggers in my house, still safe, and works every time it gets pulled. ....and $20 used..... Go Armalite!
survivalshop Posted October 14, 2016 Report Posted October 14, 2016 Nice , plain jane look , no fancy tacticool stuff . Ok you like the Tigger , where is the range report
blue109 Posted October 14, 2016 Report Posted October 14, 2016 A drop in KAC M5 RAS would look pretty sexy. Like a stubby M16A4. Just sayin...
bubbas4570 Posted October 14, 2016 Author Report Posted October 14, 2016 Range report: BEEEUUUTIFUL!!!!! I love it. Zero failures in 75 rounds downrange, from first to last. First ten shots to check zero, functioning, then mag dump! If I do my part correctly, I can hit the little bottlecap sized rocks in the 100 yard rear berm, standing, unsupported. The FUR shoots better than I, no questions. And the reasons for only a 75 round test.....I forgot my ammobox so I only had 3 mags with me and two rifles.

I hate it when that happens. For instruction purposes I have pistols down to three calibers: .22LR, 9x19mm, and .45acp. Still need my two revolvers in 9mm.
bubbas4570 Posted October 15, 2016 Author Report Posted October 15, 2016 Yeah, I had a big DOH! moment when I realized that I forgot my ammo supply. .....
ARTrooper Posted October 15, 2016 Report Posted October 15, 2016 like Deadpool forgetting his gun bag, count it down. :P
planeflyer21 Posted October 15, 2016 Report Posted October 15, 2016 FUR is very reminiscent of my very first AR, a Bushy Dissy back in '97 or so when I got it. The only difference at a quick glance is the muzzle brake and lack of a carry handle on yours.

bubbas4570 Posted October 19, 2016 Author Report Posted October 19, 2016 Ah....didn't pay attention to timeliness details.
bubbas4570 Posted February 16, 2017 Author Report Posted February 16, 2017 Here is the latest iteration of the FUR... A Nordic Components NC1 forend and mounting hardware for sling and foregrip.
bubbas4570 Posted February 16, 2017 Author Report Posted February 16, 2017 Stayed with the theme of "I don't give a poop" on the color choices....grabbed whatever was on the shelf to put on it, and didn't look back. It be mine!!!
Armed Eye Doc Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 I'm sure Jacob from Beachin Tactical would give you a good deal on a surprise sling of whatever color he has too much of. It would be a great sling as well as match your grab bag of accessories. Seriously, the man has great product.
