planeflyer21
Mike got me to wondering if I'm an anomoly. How many total vehicles have you owned? 18 just on my own. Plus 2 cars with my wife. 4 with my ex-gf. 1 airplane. Puts me at 25, so a bit shy of the 30 estimate.

Armed Eye Doc
As near as I can remember, there were about 19 between my wife and me since we've been together (almost 30 years). I've updated my number three times since I started this post with vehicles I forgot about. There have been cars, pickups and a motorcycle of all different makes and models. Oh yeah, there were 2 4-wheelers in there as well. My favorite would be the 2010 Challenger R/T that I bought new. Longest lasting is the 1997 Ranger that I have had since new. It needs a new slave cylinder but will still run around town just fine. Timing belt broke at 180K miles, but runs fine since I fixed it. Least favorite would be my wife's 280ZX. I installed or had installed 6 different starters on that car in a year. It had a fuel injection problem that I could never figure out. A close 2nd would be the Jeep Comanche pickup I bought and didn't realize someone had rolled the odometer back probably 100K miles. I had nothing but problems with it. JMNSHO but I hope whatever engineering crew decided that an internal slave cylinder on a manual gearbox was a good idea, learns of their folly several times over. So simple to repair or maintain on the outside, opposed to removing the driveshaft, t-case (on some), and gearbox to get to the damn thing. 9 minutes ago, Armed Eye Doc said: Least favorite would be my wife's 280ZX. My Mom's CJ6 was always having electrical issues. My Jeepster Commando had numerous electrical issues. Most of the mechanical stuff was an easy fix though. Sisco
The wife and I were lucky enough to both have had jobs where we got a company car, in my case for 34 years, so that cut down on the number. Still we have had 18 vehicles, another 16 company vehicles, 6 boats, a motorcycle and 1 ATV. Worst car (wait for it) a 1973 AMC Gremlin cuz I couldn't afford anything else. Worst truck, a 1971 Jeep 3/4 ton. Best car, Wife's current M37 Infiniti.(the Corvette is a toy so I don't count that) . Best Truck, my current Ram Laramie. Best Boat: my current 20 ft Lund Alaskan. Best offroad: My 1975 International Scout II. Best company car: 2008 Charger AWD. Edited February 15, 2017 by Sisco

My brother works at a Ford dealer on transmissions and he said the same basic thing. My clutch pedal will get hard and not engage if I drive the truck over about 45 minutes. So I just use it around town until it breaks more. To redo the whole clutch, master/slave cylinder and everything involved would be over $700. The truck has 202K miles on it. So if I am going to fix something in there, I'll do it all at the same time. 22 minutes ago, planeflyer21 said: Pretty sure that's just Jeep. My Mom's CJ6 was always having electrical issues. I was young and didn't check it out well because I liked the way they looked back then. When the brakes started acting up, I took off the tires and saw that the rotors had a deep gouge in them where the prior owner had not replaced the pads and ground metal on metal for a long time. The guy I bought it from had only replaced the pads and they had a corresponding raised area. It also had a fuel pump relay issue that was probably just Jeep at the time. I didn't learn my lesson and traded it in on a new 92 Wrangler that I had for less than a year due to finances at the time.

DNP
Do they have to run to count? I've had 4 project vehicles that never went anywhere. '46 international panel truck '56 F100 panel '74nova '91 Samurai driving I've had 2 Toyota pickups, a civic, a 2500 diesel, and the Ford Fusion. A couple Yukons for the wife. Leaving tractors and 4-wheelers out that puts me at 5-9 personal vehicles depending on what counts...I gotta catch up with you guys.
