Required spare AR15 parts to have on hand?

As the title says, what are the spare parts to have on hand for the AR15, and also the 308AR,  in order to keep the rifle functioning?

Complete lower parts kit?

Bolt?

Complete bolt carrier group?

Just a firing pin?

Opinions and knowledge respected and accepted.?

I want to put together my on hand parts to keep for when necessary.

I am asking those who know the what's and "oh schitts" of what are the parts that break at inopportune times.

Here is an thread I started on Full30 on keeping your rifle going long term.

https://forum.full30.com/t/keeping-spares-and-keeping-your-rifle-going-long-term/7373/108

Here is the article I based it of of

https://brushbeater.wordpress.com/2017/04/02/running-spares-keeping-your-weapon-going/

I am aiming to get:

5 spare complete BCGs

3 spare bolts

3 bolt rebuild kits

3 buffer springs

3 LPKs

3 complete spring kits

3 gas tubes

Then maybe get a few tackle organizers and make a couple organized kits. There are guys here a hell of alot more knowledgeable than myself though. Hopefully they chime in and edumacate us a little.

Are we talking spare parts kits for range/hunting rifles, or are we at full-tilt TEOTWAWKI/WROL/[insert scourge here]-pocalypse?

Because 5 BCGs and 3 of just about everything else sounds like "they ain't makin' 'em no more, I gotta stock up!"

For my range/hunting rifles, I'm keeping 1-2 of most small parts in my "builder" tool bag. I'm not going to destroy a gas tube or BCG any time soon with what I'm doing...

Brother, you would freak if you saw my spare parts giant tackle box. I've posted pics of it here before - I think I even had a contest that anyone that could 100% identify everything in it - could have it.

At any rate - cam pins.  I didn't see anyone mention cam pins yet.  Just one, per frame, will do (small frame AR15, bigger frame .308AR). Like others have said, gas rings, firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, ejector and extractor, with their pins and spring, a bolt (complete) - you break a bolt and you might have to the time to rebuild it right then, if it's a stripped bolt.  Even if you have all the stuff to rebuild it, which you should. A gas tube and roll pin for it. Trigger and hammer pin.

If you have spare lower receiver pins and springs, the list of BCG sub-components listed above, a spare recoil system and gas system - you're good.  You need the things that will stop your rifle from functioning.

I hear ya brother, there is a reason the only pictures I'll post of my benches is just after the build is finished same with drawers or storage containers initially loaded up.

This is a good list to carry with the rifle/in the rifle buttstock, with more at home base.....at least in my mind.  .....save the gas tube and recoil system.....those should be in the vehicle, base, or wherever you call home.....
