shooterrex Posted November 17, 2019 Report Posted November 17, 2019 My 12 in Grendel pistol claimed it's first victim. 186 yds she took 2 steps and fell over. Hornady Black eld's did a great job. There is nothing wrong with the hind legs that is just blood from field dressing her.
Matt.Cross Posted November 17, 2019 Report Posted November 17, 2019 Well done! Score another point for the beastly Grendel!
Robert@FULL30 Posted November 18, 2019 Report Posted November 18, 2019 sure speaks volumes for the caliber and platform, great job!

It's ridiculously impressive, brother... Insane cartridge capability. Oh, and that was Match Ammo that killed that deer. I'm thinking about tossing this information into that thread... Robert@FULL30 Posted November 18, 2019 Report Posted November 18, 2019 I'm happy the notification worked as that was LOL
TEC Posted January 5, 2020 Report Posted January 5, 2020 I moved up to a .308 because my Grendel failed to pass thru a deer hit in the shoulder area at 30 yds. There was no blood trail and it was never found in the thick brush. Read the Grendel forum and you will see this is not unusual. A Grendle is fine if the animal drops in it's track but don't count on following a blood trail.

That stuff is made to splat when it hits something hard (steel plate, shoulder bone?). The use of hunting bullets would probably eliminate a lot of those lost deer. Or getting over the 30-06 habit of blowing away both shoulders to drop a deer.
Armed Eye Doc Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 My next door neighbor used my Grendel with 123gr match ammo to take down a doe at 60 yards by hitting the neck.
Belt Fed Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 I like the Grendel round, just wish Winchester deer season xp would make a round for it.
Magwa Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 load your own and use BARNES bullets problem solved!
MikedaddyH Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 I would like to see a geletain test of the Sierra Tipped Game Kings but they are difficult to top ! Shoot totally badass out of the 6.5 Grendel.
