They are I almost grabbed ear pro on the take off, landings weren’t so bad

I've seen two up close on static display, surrounding by a "rope barrier" and a dozen Air Force SP's with M4's, LOL. The finish looks organic, like a downy seal skin, I would have loved to run my hand over that to affirm that??

I made that trip to Wisconsin to Oshkosh to see the air-show in Milwaukee, but it was nasty and raining, so I went home, damn!

Tue morning I could hear the jets pretty active at the base from my aunts house so I google mapped the area and found I could get pretty close to the run way so I ran out there with my camera, glad I brought my long lens.

These damn things will turn, in spite of what the naysayers told us, Dojo's specialty was the "Dojo Drift", a 9 G tactical break, that almost has the aircraft turning itself inside out!

Incidentally AF-02 has been to 9.9 G's with the "limiter" out of the system. Only the A model's FCS will allow it to 9G's, the B model limits out at 7G's, and the Navy's Catobar C model limits out at 7.5G's.. The A is a much stronger airframe, smaller and tighter, with less "lose ends".

Yep, Oshkosh may be the koolest place on earth at the end of July and into Aug, and as much as I'm hoping someday to visit the SDTF, it will come in slightly behind Kosh, no way around all that aluminum, steel, wood, and fabric!

You are quite the shutter bug aren't you?? LOL,  finesse taken to a new level...

Sweet! Back in '69 I was stationed on the flight line at Cubi Point Naval Air Station in the Philippines. I got to see an F-4 Phantom do a high performance climb once. It lifted off about 2/3 down the runway, tucked in the landing gear, and turned straight up. Damn thing never wiggled, just went straight up like a rocket. It went out of sight and the noise just kept going straight up. Unbelievable!

F4D was my fav! Thank the Marines for being the first service to have the guts to buy the Phantom!

The F4 is a bad ass jet but I’ve always loved the saber
