imschur Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Im in school to be a veterinarian. I work at 2 vet offices in town to pay to keep the lights on and I work as a bouncer at 2 night clubs to pay for my gun habitFantastic!!! We need a vet in the family ;D
planeflyer21 Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Right on, Mega! And here I thought we were just a bunch of ol' gun farts around here. <laughs>Did the vet asst thing for awhile...don't get the vA and the bouncer job mixed up. Pet owners are a bit sensitive. Jon
gunjunkie Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 I like Motocross, trail riding, street bikes (performance not Harleys), muscle cars. I also do quick draw single action practice, just for fun, not into the organized stuff, at least for the time being.
MegaTon Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Thanks planeflyer, sometimes those "sensitive" pet owners bring out the bouncer in me <laughs>
Matt.Cross Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Just started with the acoustic bass guitar. Been wanting to do it awhile.JonNice! Stick with it, the bass is terrific fun. So far i'm enjoying the journey through bass guitar, standard guitar, and piano and organ.
henmar77 Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 Here are a few of my other hobbies...Those pigs should find a safer place to sleep.

ErikS Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Cycling, road like that uno baller from Texas. Hunting, deer, small game, preds, you name it.For the last two summers I have spent a weekend riding across SC to raise money for Altzheimers at a pretty good pace. I used to do the pro/am USA Cycling thing many moons ago.
unforgiven Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Thanks you your crusade against Alzheimer's brother ErikS its a real heartbreaker,Dad,mother-inlaw,even a young bro from the hood Chi.P.D. at mid fifties. If you got a strong heart in the end you just forget to breath, brutal. You gotta lot of heart thanks again.

rhinegarten Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 I like traveling over 4 wheel drive trails with my Jeep. Also do a little gold prospecting with my wife on claims owned by a local club to which I belong. But mostly, I work.
Robocop1051 Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 That's cool. A friend of mine found almost 2 oz after the last rain we had. He was extatic. One of my favorite hunting spots is on the Trinity River in northern California. Prospectors are everywhere up there. Some of them hobbyists, some of them dangerous-creepy-extremists.
rhinegarten Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Two ounces is an excellent find. That's over 3 grand. He can now afford to build an LR308 or AR10 if he keeps the number of accessories down - LOL. I fit in with the hobbyist crowd. No one is under delusions of striking it rich. It's just fun to find. However, I do pack a .45 on such trips due to the possibility of southern Arizona close encounters of the (illegal) alien kind, or just the plain garden variety crackpot. There are no cops just around the corner. Given the choice, my preference would be to vacate the area. Fortunately I've had no trouble to date.
bigt77 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Hunting, Saltwater fishing, scuba, camping, flying a black hawk (however since that is actually my job it may not qualify as a hobby), playing lotto and dreaming about all the guns I will own at least until I check the numbers, spending time with my kids-the wife too, cruises, BBQ (cooking in general really) I'm sure there is more.
w_r_ranch Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Now that I'm retired, I get to 'play' in the woods & go fishin' a lot more. I also enjoy gardening (even built a greenhouse). I like spending lazy days smokin' meat & drinking a nice cold beer with my wife & dogs. <thumbsup>
edgecrusher Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 sweet smoker man, i coming down for for bbq my man
w_r_ranch Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Thanks, Edge. She was my winter project since my old one was too small to do venison jerky in any real volume (now I can do about 3 deer at a crack). It will also do 12 briskets at a time. If you're close by, let me know.
