Greetings from western Missouri!  I own other firearms but I am new to AR style rifles.  Somehow I got through years of active duty Air Force service without ever firing a M-16 or M-4.  I got a crash course in how to handle one if I ever had to pick one up off the ground.  I did not fire an AR-type rifle until after I left active duty.  I have to say, I quite liked the rifle.

I have known about this forum for some time and I decided to join the site once I made up my mind to get an AR rifle in .308.  I want to due some research before I buy though and I thought this forum would be a great resource to help me make an informed decision.  I plan to use the rifle for target shooting on the range and eventually do some hunting, maybe hog and deer.

Man, I noticed you're from OP. When I go to KC I'm usually at our office at Metcalf and College.
