I had one that decided my back yard was home. I had a five-year-old at the time. The fukking groundhog took a 12 ga. charge at around 20 yards, full choke. Rolled him over backwards, but the damned thing made it back to its hole before it died. Tough fukkers!

Tough they are!! 2  weeks ago, i shot a hog TWICE at over 600 yards & the little $hit still managed to run 30+ yards back towards the tree line before he croaked!

Groundhogs and badgers must be related also, i shot one with a 45ACP 7 times running, rolling him each time, and the fuqqrr made it into his hole, choking on his own blood. The last 2 or 3 shots after the chase.....well there was not much moving in the hole except dust and the gun coming back out.

NICE, man!!!    I hate groundhogs almost as much as beavers - the only difference in the tails and the oil in the fur.  Those Fuckers, the lot of them.

One time headed out a girl asks "where you going" to which I replied "we're off to shoot groundhogs" Seems she thought shooting  cute groundhogs was wrong till I pointed out that the holes they make break horse's legs. To which she replied " so what caliber is best to shoot 'em with?"

I love horses.

Good shooting brother.

I'm positive the 308 PPU 168GR BTHP MATCH AMMO is as effective as fmj on ground hogs.  Definitely not expanding, not supposed to. However,  Federal gmm w/168gr Sierra BTHP MATCHKINGS do appear to expand! This little bastard @ 300yards died hard! Didn't even flinch lol.
