98Z5V Posted April 10, 2023 Report Share Posted April 10, 2023 Found this cute little fella out in the desert today. He was just getting some sun, on the road, chilling out. He's so tiny! He was precious. Little Gopher Snake. I had to lay out something to compare the size of him. Only thing I could find in the back of the truck that would capture what he really was - was a 5ft T-Post... Just kidding - this was a big dude. I laid that t-post out there to give a size comparison -he was literally in the middle of the dirt road, gathering sunlight power. recharging his batteries. He was calm, never got pissed off - and really, didn't even move, the whole time. I saw his little forked tongue come out a couple times, so I knew he wasn't dead. There was NOBODY out there, and he had no body damage (like getting run over), but he wouldn't move. So, I decided to move him - get him safe, somewhere. He's one of the good snakes, at any rate. As soon as I reach for the back (white side) of that t-post, and start nudging him, he decided to backtrack towards me. Okay, whatever. By the time he got his thick ass turned around, and was moving towards a big bush beside the road, he was all the way as long as that 5ft t-post... Cool stuff...
