Can't compare X36 and 5.56 brass IMO. Never was and never will be a Com-bloc guy. That's just me.

Me neither but it's 1 of the 3 main calibers we would most likely encounter from the UN and/or foreign invaders.  The other reason I built all 3 calibers is because some hunts in Texas prohibit using anything under .30 caliber.  7.62x39 and .308 are excellent choices and the ammo can usually be found just about anywhere.

Well I bought a .556 for a cheap shooter and a shooting happened it got outta hand, so I bought a .22 insert for it and sandy hook happened and all the .22 went away, so I decided x39 was my next pick and trust me the gun is ALL American, just you wait!

I checked at our grocery store in DeLeon and they stock 12,16,20 and .410 shot shells .22 LR, .22 Mag when they can get them, .223,.243, .30-30, 308, 3006, 7mm mag. 300 mag. that is all I worry about. not a gun store a GROCERY STORE, right next to the huge assortment of wine. The beer is back in the coolers. Ha! Folks around here are not folks to mess with, specially when they are stoked up with baby back ribs and WINE!

Sounds like they stocked up pretty good for the hunting season.

Usually though (at least in the past) you could find an Academy, or Wal-Mart (might've changed) and/or any Mom & Pop sporting goods store and find 7.62x39 also, not to mention there has never been a gun show ever in Texas that I attended that somebody was not selling the 7.62x39 rounds.  They do make for great hog rounds and are legal everywhere here in Texas for deer.

Let me also point out that back during the last great unpleasantness in 2012, the local Academy here was long sold out of everything except 30-30, 30.06, 300 Win Mag, and 7.62x39 rounds.  Believe it or not, the most rounds they had were 300 Win Mag. out of all those aforementioned, which is why if I ever get a bolt gun I'll most likely get one in that caliber.

I am sure that the store has 7.62X39, I'm just not interested in those.

BTW it is 100 miles from here to an Acadamy and 40 miles to a Walmart, and that is just how I like it. Being a member of Amazon Prime and Midway USA let's UPS do the walking, free shipping saves gas and wear and tear on me and my daily driver. Now with all that we do have a county hospital and clinic just 5 minutes away, and a local Tractor Supply. plus a small Mexican cafe that gives free margaritas (no liquor license) here at the lake.  God bless the internet.

I plan to vote, buy some gold, and live the good life as long as I last.

A Criterion nitrided stainless steel 18" barrel. Can't help myself. A big shout out to Josh at Criterion who patiently answered all my emails while deciding what to get, and Ryan at MSRArms, who was great to deal with.

I blame you guys for this uncontrollable habit of building rifles.
