Thanks for the reply - I have a barrel and a bolt, a 458 upper and a sten mag adapter.......  For that price, I'd go with Macon Armory though I think. Shame. Dang

I bought this wind meter for the Nikon Spot on App on my Android and I Pad. Our range has no wind gauge, and there is a pretty consistent wind in that area. So far in trying it with my Android it works pretty effectively. Look forward to seeing if it improves my shooting accuracy in windy conditions. For $29.99 it didn't break the Bank.

NIKON SPOT ON BALLISTIC WIND METER FOR APPLE & ANDROID

Spot On™ Ballistic Wind Meter
Nikon’s all-new Spot On™ Ballistic Wind Meter plugs directly into the headphone port found on almost all smart phones. The Spot On Wind Meter takes an accurate reading of the wind speed and direction and inputs the data directly into the Spot On Ballistic Match Technology™ Application that every serious hunter and shooter should have on their smart phone. Now, the Spot On app not only provides the precise aiming point on your reticle to compensate for distance, but thanks to the new Spot On Wind Meter, you now can also compensate for wind drift.

Accurate: Wind speed, direction, average & gust measurements
Compatible: Works with iPhone, iPod and all major Android devices
Flexible: Reads in meters per second, miles per hour, and Beaufort scale
Real-Time Wind Speed

I like that brother. I picked up a Caldwell wind meter a few years ago  and it goes through batteries and is a PITA to use.

The app is free by the way. Apple and Google Play both have it.
